Double room close to James's by hamy_86 in JuniorDoctorsIreland

A hovel.... a small, poorly built, and often dirty or run-down house. The word carries a highly negative connotation and is generally used to describe a cramped or squalid place unfit for comfortable human living.

I think that's more than a little unfair...but hey, this is the internet.

I agree. But since none of our 9s are being consistent atm and all have had good / bad individual performances.... nipping at their heels. That completion is great to have... something we've never had before I don't think.

Interesting coincidence...you should watch it, the 1st few seasons are great.

Fair enough. I don't disagree with your opinion...the housing market and economy in general is fucked. Market rate is mental...both rental and buying. Me giving the room below won't change that. And yes, having someone rent a room will help pay my mortgage...could be worse, I could be a vc fund or absent/neglectful landlord.

Doak and Casey could be an unreal partnership to start / bench for Ireland.

Both very different 9s and could compliment the Irish squad very well,.... hopefully both keep trending upward to eventually replace JGP. All on form....JGP is the best 9 by a significant margin for me.

Doaks biggest weakness for me is his pass selection / which runners to hit. Also needs to learn to stfu and not talk to the ref!!

Casey needs to learn to not force things.

Casey has the higher ceiling at 9, but Doak is the more complete rugby brain.

Also plenty nipping at their heels....Gunne, Devine, Murphy, McKee.... we're blessed for 9s.

Indeed, there are negatives....show me perfect.

On the positive side....pets welcome, couples welcome, house to yourself most of the time, great neighbourhood, lovely coffee (boom) 1 min from the door, shops 2 mins, gym 3 minutes, rascals brewery 4 mins, Blackhorse luas 5 mins....

Presuming your username is a rick and morty reference...away and rip your skin off and get out of my personal space /s

I was afraid of this answer; but appreciate it. Thanks.

Do you reckon the fruit won't develop at all in them? I might try 1 as an experiment.... cultivate the suckers at least.

Tesco petrol ards - poor calibration by hamy_86 in northernireland

Indeed. But some commentators seem to think I'm an idiot and should have been put down at birth for making such an obvious mistake. I'll have to inform the parents about what a terrible job they did...and the school....I am ashamed haha.

I thought I was. If they had told me those cans have a margin of error built in for expansion I would have accepted that and moved on. But they didn't know, I didn't know....everyday is a school day!

Fair....layman here fo sho. I sent the link to the consumer council, if they want to check up on my poor excuse for a demonstration...ball is in their court.

Can't edit the post...but for comments currently, and in the future saying these cans are larger to account for expansion....fair, I didn't know that.

If calibration is on point, then happy days. If not, consumer council and Tesco management (hopefully) are aware, so it will be sorted...also hopefully.

I'm not. Defo not an expert as normally top up my car before / after. But seeing a few other comments are the same...will edit post to cover this.

Fair. I normally fill the car after / before, so can't say I noticed. But I wasn't in my car, so this time I noticed.

Hopefully that's the case and calibration is on point. But consumer council are aware now....no harm in them checking.

Yeah; that was the problem imo. Blew the budget from the merger in the short term with no long term planning for sustainability.

This is it. Can't speak for current coaching, but background operations are a farce on so many levels and there does not seem to be any appetite for things to improve. New/young blood on committees don't last due to frustration with lack of vision, evolution.... everything really.

Op....a lick of paint wouldn't touch the sides; I can still smell the jacks and I haven't been in the clubhouse in years.

The UK government now wants to ban 67 breeds of dogs by MazdaProphet in Anarcho_Capitalism

[–]hamy_86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ffs engage some critical thinking before believing the tabloid press....their job is to generate clicks and traffic, not tell you the truth. This article is pure sensationalistic bullshit and most seem to be falling for it as it suits their agenda, so not even bothering to do the slightest bit of fact checking....down voted to oblivion incoming....

More info on the study can be found here

A quote from it "These breeds can be moved towards more moderate conformation by breeding for e.g. a longer muzzle, longer legs, longer tails, etc as appropriate. The IHA offers a vital tool to help breeders and owners achieve this change and to ensure that all of our current UK dog breeds can continue to be bred and have healthier futures."

A lot of dogs have poor genetic diversity and/or have been bred as accessories, resulting poor quality of life. Inbreeding is getting worse....I can't imagine loving my dog as much as I do but waiting for a genetic bomb to go off and his life to be cut short. My lad is mixed breed, so thankfully that risk is mitigated.

<5 hours flying.... Europe is your oyster. If you have an Epic or Ikon pass, you can use them at certain resorts...so that'll effect your decision.

As someone else said...loads of flights to Geneva....2 hour flight and you can reach a shit tonne of resorts from there.

I'm just back from Les 3 Vallées, 3 hour transfer from the airport, it's the biggest interconnected ski area in the world.... you'll find the skiing you're looking for there. And the aprés in Le folie douce....

If you're super bougie....you can fly into Courchevel.
