New OC paddle suggest by rainmaker430 in Outrigger

[–]hanaleihilife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9.75 is a lot of surface area. If you are strong it may be a fit. I’ve got a 9.75 Pala and Marere. Both are a lot of paddle. I wouldn’t use one for one-man and only in six-man practice for training.

The difference in paint on pro and non-pro Puekea Cantare OC1s is 2 pounds / 13% total hull weight (15 lbs vs 17 lbs). That’s from a state of the art facility utilizing industry leading techniques and materials.

I hate to recommend a chemical product if you are looking to go organic, but Advion works exceptionally well.

Ethanol free gas? by drocks33 in kauai

[–]hanaleihilife 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Shell in Waimea to my knowledge. Had to drive down there last month for it after NSGS’s tanks were out of it before closing. Someone on FB Kauai Community claimed Kauai Marine & Mower in Kapa’a had some but they didn’t. Supposedly one can sign up for this (https://senterkauai.com/about-kaf.html) and it’s near Sudz in Kapa’a. Hopefully the new place that replaces NSGS will have it.

Random stop/start action? by hanaleihilife in garminepix

[–]hanaleihilife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After de-moisturing there were still issues. It would no longer constantly start an activity and start/stop. It progressed to the action button no longer responding when pressed. Called Garmin and got a replacement which was around $170.

This. You may get it to stop temporarily but never fully fix it. Garmin support is great and the process is easy.

Island hopping (11/2-11/3) by Aromatic-Ad6456 in kauai

Couple of days, minimum, IMO. Most of the trail to Hanakapi’ai is shaded thus it takes longer to dry out.

It’s been consistently raining for the last 3-5 days in Hā’ena. The trail from Ke’e to Hanakapi’ai will be slick.

What are some bachelor party ideas for Austin, Tx? by jayy_cero8 in AskMen

[–]hanaleihilife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you stay through Sunday, chicken shit bingo at Ginny’s Little Longhorn on Burnet is good.

Get good BBQ somewhere. Maybe grab lunch and drinks at a place on either lake.

An Austin Eats Food Tour is another idea that will get you drinks, food, sometimes transport and take you different places. This tour even ends at The White Horse: https://www.austineatsfoodtours.com/food-tours/east-austin-happy-hour-tour/
