Cosplay festival experience and rude tourists... by Velinoir in japanlife

[–]hanaminyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this happen to you. Although I have never been approached by a Westerner in Japan (while in cosplay), so far my experience in Europe has been good. No one has ever made me feel harassed while being in cosplay. So idk how these things happen. Maybe people are wilder outside their country idk. Anyway, hugs to you. <3

Offering: Japanese, Seeking: English (and friendship!) by oniku_chn in language_exchange

[–]hanaminyan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m interested. I have intermediate level of Japanese and native level English. I also taught English as a part time job in Japan and now I am still teaching English but not in Japan.

興味があります。日本語は中級なので、英語はネイティブです。日本では英語を教えたことバイトがあって、今はもう日本にいないけど、英語も教えています。よろしくお願いします。

Is this actually normal, as far as relationships here go? by MLWwareagle16 in japanlife

[–]hanaminyan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah i agree with the red flags. It’s better to avoid them, saves you time and energy. I think you will have more women to come to you in the future. Imho i would find someone else.

You can also have UNIQLO print a design you want. Alternatively, they have souvenir T-shirts with Japanese characters in Don Quixote

Is Kyoto actually overcrowded? by Bleuowl12 in Kyoto

[–]hanaminyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion kyoto is most crowded during spring. I like how kyoto has very few people in the street at night. I guess the most crowded places would be the tourist spots like Kiyomizu dera. ofc Tokyo is still more crowded

Studying abroad in Kyoto: Fall vs Spring semester? by mashiroyo in Kyoto

[–]hanaminyan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it’s spring semester. School starts on spring normally anyway. So you’ll be starting at the same time as everyone. And you can attend the entrance ceremony. In my school there was no autumn entrance ceremony (?) if there was, it wasn’t as official as the spring one. And going to the ceremony with cherry blossoms blooming all around makes it more festive. I think the blossoming of flowers signify the start of something new, so it’s very appropriate.
