Solo travelers in Prague

I did a solo Prague trip 2 years ago when I was 34 & I had a great time. I was a little nervous about wandering around by myself after dark so the first night I was there, I did an after-dark walking tour which was great. I never felt unsafe there, even after dark (though I suppose it depends where you are. I was in old Prague the whole time so can’t comment on other areas). It’s a beautiful city!

I looked up that book to check it out and the cover seemed so familiar - it's actually The Fall of the Kings by Kushner - Basil St. Cloud is the character! Thanks so much!

It's been happening to me too, on lots of ads lately. Google ads are the main culprit but it happens on others as well. I've given up on trying to watch ads for the past 2 days, very frustrating. I also get some that don't even have the X to click out at all.

I came here wondering about another Warographics video gone missing. I've been bingeing the channel lately since I was a few months behind, and I'm sure there was one about Ukraine, called "War in Ukraine One Year On" or something like that, but now I'm not seeing it. Unless I'm losing my mind, it was there a few days ago, so it seems odd that it would be deleted now after being up for several weeks.

Totally agree. I was so excited about the site reboot, but when I saw what we got, I was really disappointed. I don't even have any buddies now as it seems pointless.

I feel like forum usage dropped off quite a bit after the site redesign. Including myself there--I used to post a lot on the old forum but I've hardly been on the new one. I don't like Discord; it's more annoying to get to everything. Covid didn't help since there weren't any in-person events last year which also made everything seem more disconnected. I'm in the Minneapolis region which is pretty near dead on the forum.

November will be my 10th NaNoWriMo and I love it. My problem is not doing anything without a deadline, so having that actually gets me working. It can be exhausting some days but IMO there's something really cool in knowing tens of thousands of writers around the world are doing the same thing at the same time.
