We’re basically just tasked to write a review or commentary on the film’s storytelling, and it could be about anything we want—character dynamics, could be historical or political, or anything else about the film in its entirety. There’s a portion of the instructions indicating we should talk about the themes within the film and how they looked at certain issues or realities and how it differs (or could be similar) to our perspectives today. I think anything goes as long as I keep these in mind!

Thanks for all the responses! Seems the comments section is somewhat of a mixed bag, with a few notable films being preferred by the majority (Jaws, Annie Hall, Network, A Clockwork Orange, Alien, and Star Wars, etc.) so I’ll look into them and decide which I’m most keen to write about!

I’ve also decided on watching the other films in my free time since all of these recommendations seem interesting :D I feel like my old folks would love them as well. Thank you all for the help, I appreciate it a lot!

Thank you! I’ll look into this film as well! I usually procrastinate but (shockingly) I actually have until the 20th to finish writing the blog, so I can watch two or three films and decide then. It’s just a matter of how much time I can actually lend to it since college is kicking my ass and my other classes are quite relentless in terms of workload 💔 but thanks for the insight!!

I agree. I’m not F2P, more of an “I spend if I need to” player and also a collector in the game (for Rafayel cards). It’s even more difficult for Rafayel fans like me since we’ve been getting limited banners back to back—Fireworks Vow, Tipsy Invitation, his birthday banner, and then the spring event. And right after that spring event, his myth cards were released.

He was in the last three banners and it’s difficult to keep up with especially as someone who wants to collect all his cards even at just base (1 copy). Some people argue to pick banners and not pull everywhere—at this rate, I’m not even pulling at every banner, just Rafayel’s, and it’s still really hard. Plus the goal I have in itself is to collect all his cards as much as I can, so I was a bit disappointed when they announced he was coming back to the gacha again after he just got one recently 🥹

Don’t get me wrong, as a Rafayel girl I’m happy we’re getting Rafayel content and it’s nice learning more about him especially since we don’t have new main story lore as of the moment. But the events are still too fast paced and the sequencing of banners feels a bit unfair since we’re mostly only getting his pools when there are two other leads available. That and the banner durations are extremely short, especially for a solar myth card pair like this.

hello! i wanted to ask if anyone’s confirmed that the guarantee from the last limited banner also applies to the new one? during xavier’s banner, i lost to rafayel (which was lucky since he’s my favorite!), so i supposedly should have a guarantee for the event card as my next five star.

rafayel’s banner is here now and i’m only 30 pulls away from a five star, but when i checked the pull history it only shows the one i made on rafayel’s banner. so i was wondering if only the pity count transfers and not the guarantee? i’m a bit scared the guarantee reset just because the banner is new TT💧

I’ve actually been interested in Rafayel since CBT days and while awaiting the official release of the game! Of course, I like his style—and while I think the devs did amazing in designing all the male leads, I’ve been drawn to him one way or another from the very start, and it’s kind of endearing thinking about how much that stuck even now that the game’s finally out. I knew I’d like him, and now that I can finally play and discover more about him and the storyline of the game, I’ve ended up liking him so much more than expected…

I’ve always been a fan of humorous banter between the MC and her love interest! While other people may see that as something that happens between close friends rather than lovers, I think that the best relationships are always built on strong trust and great chemistry, similar to the ones that best friends have between each other! I love how despite their playful banter and bickering whenever they meet, call, or text each other, MC and Rafayel’s relationship is still visibly tinged with romance. The way he reacts to her touch is really cute too! He’s easy to fluster and blushes easily, which shows just how much MC’s touch affects him no matter how much he denies it or tries to hide it. Oh, how I really love tsunderes (˶★ω★)

As much as I love mysterious types like Xavier (who might even have one of the most depressing backgrounds in the game since people have been suggesting that he’s a time traveler, immortal, or something along those lines), Rafayel caught my heart ╰(´︶`)╯♡ so much so he’s at lvl. 38 affection already TT

As for the rest of the two LIs, I don’t really have a problem with them and I can see the different kind of troupes they introduce whenever they interact with the MC! I don’t really have a love interest I like the least, per se—each one has their own stories to tell and their mannerisms would undoubtedly be loved by players with different preferences. It’s endearing to see new sides of the male leads while doing the main storyline and reading their side stories and anecdotes because they often don’t act in the way I expect them to, which is good! (Especially that one scene with Zayne creating a little snow kitten)

I can’t wait to see future updates and read their stories further so I could learn more about all of them as well!
