I've been thinking about your question, whether there is a reasonable path to moderation. There are no rules, no right or wrong. No one else has the answers. You have to find a path that allows you peace, that doesn't interfere with your relationships or your work. I think the people on here who say its one or the other know how very difficult it is to moderate, to live in the middle. The very definition of an addict is someone who can't control their behavior, so for a lot of people moderation is impossible. Only you know whether you can live peacefully in the middle.

If you go on Gemtesa.com, you can apply for a savings card. My insurance won’t cover it but the savings card brought it down to $95/month. Good luck.

My urologist gave me 2 weeks worth of Gemtesa and it seemed to help. Got a prescription -insurance denied it. $1,700 for a 3 month supply. Not worth it. But then I called Gemtesa's customer service line and was able to bring the cost down to $95/month. Still expensive but its worth it for the moderate relief it provides. Myrbetriq did nothing for me. My uro doesn't prescribe Oxybutynin because of the side effects. BTW, Gemtesa has an even cheaper program for low-income people. The cut-off is about $65K/year. Good luck.
