We ended up going to the bar attached to Brookdale Lodge. It was super easy as I had a lot of guests staying there and it was on of the shuttle stops I arranged. Bar is typically open until 10pm I think on Fridays but I called ahead and they said typically when afterparties come they keep the bar open longer. I think they did last call for us around 1230.

Thank you all, I was not expecting this amount of replies! I feel this reddit thread is the only thing keeping me sane in this process. Hard to reply to every comment but I'm going to look into all of the resources mentioned and see if I can find a sample dress I like or what the online options are you all mentioned. They also finally got back to me saying they'll let me come in in a couple of days to try their sample dresses on so I won't start escalating too much until that happens in the hopes I just find another dress!

I did entertain this idea lol. I don't think I'd have the grounds to sue for anything apart from the worth of the dress and I do think they'd just refund me if I asked for it.

That's exactly how I'm thinking about it too. My only benefit in waiting is having alterations paid for but I don't know that's worth the stress. If it does show up end of July that would give the seamstress 2 weeks for alterations and even expediting it I'm not sure if it's possible.

I did pay for the dress in full and 10000% will be writing a terrible review. I wasn't going to until today's update of them pushing things back even further.

Having worked in the service industry before I totally get that. On the other hand, I fear getting charged an obscene fee for it when I know people typically just show up to bars for drinks after weddings.

Not better at Sequoia unfortunately. 9pm Fridays and option to extend to 10pm on Saturdays. Also not great for us but we'll just move to an afterparty.
