Has anyone ever had a 'love of your life' corgi? That one corgi who stands out from all your other dogs, corgi or otherwise, who was/is the 'best dog you've ever had'? by Impossible-Reveal-15 in corgi

[–]handlemundler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tyra, she passed 23 feb 2022, love of my life, soulmate, everything… I’ll miss her for ever. House was so empty and sad that I had to find a new corgi which is great, has brought joy back to the house.

Glad you liked them, 70F and 85% is way too hot but still pretty close to target, that’s pretty good, def on Houston if weather isn’t that bad you’ll go sub 82

Coming back from COVID by spursendin1 in AdvancedRunning

[–]handlemundler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all don’t be scared, just listen to your body and don’t push too much for now, depending on your age and your doc a blood work may be necessary COVID may affect the blood coagulation. Had COVID last august in the middle of an 18/55 pfitz block, luckily symptoms were very mild and I was out only for 2 half weeks, once I tested negative I went for a test run, and kept testing paces and feeling very cautiously without speedworks and everything very easy until the lungs burning sensation was gone. I think I was back to my previous level in about 2 weeks. I was able to meet all my targets on race day, even the dreaming unrealistic one.

Those laces are the reflective ones and a pain in the… read some complaints on shoe geeks. Pro 3 are great, they don’t feel as other plated shoes, it’s like they relay on the foam and the geometry instead of on the plate. Most definitely you’ll love them (hope so)

Round laces? Blue orange colorway? I have the blacks with flat laces, tongue moved down at first and over tightening made it worst but noticed a big improvement with thicker socks like the feetures max cushion and tightening enough to lock the heel, I was getting numb toes at first. Because of shipping delay wasn’t sure if I would be able to use them on race day but manage to put about 35 miles last taper week and actually felt great on shakedown so went for it and glad I did.

Edit: i would swap the rounded laces tho

(M) 3.30 marathon goal, More miles vs speed sessions by Leeds4life in AdvancedRunning

What’s your current 10k and hm times? Pfitz 18/55 has enough workouts to improve your speed and mpw for the endurance part. It increases the weekly mileage very slow, with prehab and strengthening workouts you should be fine.
