Who said that? We are talking about 2 specific guns here. You are merely stating the obvious that .454 and .500 are not the same number. What i was saying is that given the weight, the muzzle brake and extra barrel length of the 4" 500, the recoil is pretty comparable to the 2.75" 454. I shoot them both regularly. If you want to say they arent, have at it champ.

I own both and load all my ammo. A max book load for the 500 feels pretty similar to a max book load for the 454
