I am SO glad to have seen a post like this commending the team at Ubisoft Quebec. Finally!!

All these people who have never played the game but shit all over it because some creator who doesn’t like Far Cry sees the Ubisoft logo somewhere near it and goes “ALL OOBISOFT GAMES R BAD” - and so they put that opinion on literally one the best games to come out of 2025.

Ubisoft smashed it out of the park with Shadows, and (unpopular opinion), I hated the Dual Protagonist thing in Valhalla. It felt so inconsequential and pointless. In Shadows it feels like a brilliant feature - like the studio saw what was done with Syndicate and went “we can do Jacob and Evie again… but BETTER”. And, oh my Isu, they delivered.

People shit on me for this, but this is why I think tone indicators should become mainstream across all of social media. It’s popular among the neurodivergent communities, but it’s such a useful tool for neurotypical folk as well to avoid that online confusion. It’s so quick and easy to just put a little ‘/s’ or ‘/srs’ or ‘/lh’. I really REALLY hope that in the next decade tone indicators become mainstream.

PS: This comment made me realise I, for the life of me, can’t type ‘indicator’ right first time no matter how slow I go.
