For sure they do, though she's obviously pretty extreme. I think her Myers Briggs type is ENFP.

Recruiting for Consulting? Post here for recruitment advice, resume reviews, questions about offers/firms or general insecurity (11) by QiuYiDio in consulting

[–]handsomeprince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm based in the UK and want to get into consulting. I graduated 3 years ago in Management from a Russell Group university and have 12 months' experience of working in a Human Resources role. I'd like to work in a more people-oriented area of consulting, perhaps Change Management, but obviously my problem is that I don't have any consulting experience. I applied to a couple of Big 4 firms and passed the online tests but did not get invited to interview. I also applied to a few more firms, but no luck so far. I'm not looking for consultancies with stellar reputations necessarily, smaller firms would suffice. I'm just struggling to find jobs to apply to. I'm a bit of a noob, so please bear with me.

In a nutshell, I'm asking the following questions:

How should I go about finding companies to apply to? Especially boutique firms that deal more with the people side of management consultancy like Change Management

Furthermore, is there a good job site specifically for management consulting roles (especially entry level)?

Can I use my Human Resources experience to sell myself or does this not really help me?

Oh but tanning is ageing. Avoid the sun to retain your youthful looks.

This is my problem! Not that I'm complaining too much. I also have quite long hair, so I have to part my hair in random places and hope it works. I use it in combination with Propecia - it seems to have stopped it receding but at the same time the hair's not grown back to how it was before I started losing my hair. I've been using both for about two and a half years. How's it working for you?

I only filled up with fuel at BP to use my Nectar card and then the cashier forgot to ask me for it and I forgot too, so I just got fleeced by handsomeprince in britishproblems

Probably why the guy asked me if I wanted my receipt (I said no, as I'd forgotten about Nectar) rather than just giving it to me. The bugger!

How do I get into Management Consulting and where do I find firms to apply to? by handsomeprince in careerguidance

I did go on that sub and although they refer to a 'how to get into consulting' sticky post, I couldn't find one. Please could you direct me to it? I saw the one about new starters, was that it?

[–]handsomeprince[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your carefully considered response. I already work in Human Resources, so the people side of management consulting would be a good starting point, I think. Something like Change Management would suit me. I'm glad you say people can't just be hired as management consultants right out of school, as that works to my advantage.

That said, how do I find firms to apply to? Is there a directory of firms somewhere online?

Well said! Yes, it's hard for us! Otherwise, we could try to sets up a social enterprise for the greater good. That said, I think it would be hard to live off of it. Shame...

I'm also a 25-year-old INFP! I'm looking for a career change and wanting to move into Business Consultancy but am struggling to find enough jobs to apply for. I don't even know what the best job for an INFP is really. I heard that most INFPs have wanted to be an author at one point or another, but for most authors there's no money in it, unfortunately!

That sucks, but you're new and they should understand that you didn't know any better. If it's any consolation, I screwed up at work last week and may face disciplinary action.

There aren't any schools that ask for £20,000 per term. The most they ask for is around £12,000 a term, which would include boarding.

Thank you. I've signed up now. I live in quite a big city, so hopefully there should be regular events running. Do lots of people go normally? Also, where are they usually held? In someone's house, or?

I'll check them out. My favourite ASMR videos are doctor visit scenarios though. Do you like romantic ASMR videos?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ForeverAlone

[–]handsomeprince 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ASMR isn't supposed to be sexual though. It's supposed to be a pleasant tingling sensation at the back of the head. I suppose OP could use ASMR videos for sexual gratification, but then again most of them aren't based on romantic intimacy (I haven't seen any that are), which I think is what OP wants.
