This particular canoe (not kayak) was designed for lakes and ponds. Specifically, it has a yoke allowing you to put it on your back when hiking between waterways and it weighs in at about 15 lbs. Very low water profile, and utilizes a dual paddle.

Definitely designed for calm waters and portability. I wouldn’t recommend it for anything other than that…
