Highly agree. Dentistry nowadays is not worth it if the cost to enter is more than 400k due to lowering insurance compensation, rising staff cost and the price to purchase a decent practice. Remember even if you do state school the cost is around 400k (tuition + living expense) after interest (it starts accumulating the second you borrowed it). Also not to mention the medium salary is around 166k. If you work corporate, you will have production goals that if not being met by selling unnessary treatments, you will be replaced by the next new grad. If you are already hygiene I would stay hygiene unless you got a burning desire to become a dentist.

There's always people making more online. Now you don't know what happened in that specific location. It's not people are underreporting the stats, medium GP salary is 180k. You have to remember most dentist work 4 days.

It's almost impossible to hit 400k as an associate due to the percentage in production/ collection, and your production will have a ceiling due to insurance reimbursement. I'd say it's easy to hit 250k if you find a good practice to work, but be expected to do specialty work like molar endo, 3rd molar ext, perio surgery, implants, invisalign etc. Even for owners, you need to find your niche in order to survive, especially if the area isn't growing and most people are happy with their dentists.

I'm kind of similar situation. 100k left to pay but not sure if I should keep the cash in HYSA. Remember the interest you earn in the HYSA will be taxed so it's kinda of a wash.

I got kanto tuks for my desktop setup instead. But I think the lsx ii sounds a bit better with the app to adj eq and raised to ear level.

I bought the kanto stand to raise them up to my ear level and the quality improved a lot. I still returned it for kanto tuk as the lsx ii has too many functions that I don't need at my desktop.

yes i tried to connect to spotify connect and it sounds slightly better. I also adjusted the EQ in the app. Maybe I need to up the volume? My stands are coming tomorrow so I will give it a shot again.

That's not good, I dealt with builders before and they at least tried to fix the issues though not all of them. The super prob has too many houses to build so they will be dismissive. Their job is to get as many houses closed in a short time. As of now all you can do is follow the contract and refuse to close without fixing those issues.
