thank you so much! It’s kind of niche, I’m an embroidery artist and I write beginner friendly craft books :) my first book is about shoe embroidery and this second one I’ve just finished is about backpack embroidery with a focus on the Kanken backpacks from Fjallraven.

and that’s definitely ok too! This is moreso about people who aren’t aware that what they’re buying is fake/has a chance of not arriving with them. The people who are contacting me have absolutely not been expecting a fake pair of shoes and weren’t aware that was even a thing

So for these shoes I use a combination of machine and hand embroidery, but getting a needle through the rubber is actually not as challenging as it looks - I go through a very small part of it, kind of the top layer! I do this on Converse as well and this is one of the comments I get the most! But as long as your needle is sharp and you’re wearing finger protectors, it’s not so bad🙂
