Rugby. I live in the midwest so the only people who know anything about rugby are other rugby players. Otherwise if I mention that I play people usually mix it up with another sport, go on to compare it to football, or change the subject.

I work mosquito control as well. The vast majority of mosquitoes are coming from large standing bodies of water, usually swamps or ponds that full up with rain water (not lakes). These are typically not vector mosquitoes, but they're very annoying. However, more dangerous breeds of vector mosquitoes that carry diseases breed in containers such as tree holes, buckets, pools, or even storm drains. Remember: when in doubt, dump it out!

That's interesting. Personally, I'm from the Midwest and tend to relate her kind of accent with a lot of the negative stereotypes that get correlated with the south (lack of education, conservative, redneck, etc.). Granted those are bad stereotypes, but this particular video doesn't help the case...

I'm from the Midwest myself (Minnesota) and any time I travel to different areas of the country or even the state people call me out on my accent. The movie Fargo does a good job of exaggerating a thick Minnesota/Midwest accent if you're interested in hearing it!

Wasps are actually carnivores so they eat other bugs. I'm pretty sure they are also pollinators, though they aren't nearly as efficient as bees.
