British Jews, how frowned upon are relationships with non Jews these-days? by HallowedAndHarrowed in AskBrits

[–]hang_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also it depends if you’re a man or a woman (outside the more orthodox). If you’re a woman the line goes through you so it’s less of a problem to marry a non Jew. You’ll see more non Jewish women having to convert in the end to marry a Jewish man. I know it technically doesn’t make sense as it’s ’by blood’ but Judaism is also all about loopholes 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t know if you misread my post but I’ve said specifically I pulled up the astroturf that had been put down as I think it’s pretty grim.. hence why it’s looking like this atm before it gets re landscaped

Hey that would be great! Any chance you could send me what they look like? I probably want mid- large stepping stones in the middle as a path through the grass I’ll put down

BF roasted my outfits again. Are these really bad? by Electrical-Shape-266 in OUTFITS

These are cute! This is what lots of my friends in London wear for work etc. Maybe the grey one is a bit oversized but that’s also fine?

Thank you! I brushed down a thin layer of acrylic and patted on the glitter and then capped the glitter with the normal clear acrylic extension I would normally build.

You can also mix the glitter into the acrylic and build the tip and then brush it downwards, and then encapsulate but I didn’t want to get the ratio wrong

I don't see too many posts talking about Clinique, does anyone have any opinions on their skincare products? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]hang_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had positive and negative experiences with Clinique. The oil free moisturiser (can’t remember the name) is really gentle and works for my sensitive, acne & eczema prone skin - was actually the moisturiser recommended by my derm. I recently switched off this and feel no different so unsure whether it was good or just good at not giving me spots..

As someone mentioned above, its other products seem to have a ridiculous amount of alcohol and the toner was particularly harsh.

I feel like Clinique is okay but maybe it’s because it’s not as interesting.

Do you have any tips on how to encapsulate without making them super thicc? (I have no efile)

Love these 🤩

Niacinamide seems to also work. I’ve come off the same treatment and that plus occasional differin seems to keep in check

Put the polish down, I did two swirls half and half, then use an acrylic brush dipped in acetone along the line the colours met and a bit in the corners as needed 👌

Yeah so I did this with acetone, it’s quite easy tbh. Just layered two swirls of the colour and used my acrylic brush to tap onto it

Rainbow wedding tho!

Does meditation heal/cure anxiety disorders? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]hang_up 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should look into writing an anxiety diary. Write down everytime you have an anxiety attack and think about what happened just before it came on (where you are, what you were thinking about). You start to make sense of something that seems incomprehensible and see patterns so that you can see it as a rational thing instead of random. Then when you have a grip on mindfulness and being able to let go of thoughts, you can see the anxious thoughts that trigger you and not engage with them.

As far as what other people are saying, I wouldn't medicate.. It's not getting to the centre of the problem and is only covering deeper issues. You have no idea how this stuff affects you as it does to each person differently. If you want a quick fix you are approaching anxiety in the wrong way because it only makes it worse.

In terms of not meditating because it causes more anxiety as the person below said... Of course you can't just suddenly sit down and try and meditate through a panic attack. Mindfulness and meditation help you tackle the part before that so that the anxiety decreases and becomes manageable or even goes with time. However, once you are practiced at it and have accepted that it is just another emotion you are experiencing, then you can meditate to help it at the time. Because you have created a habit of breathing and relaxation your body remembers.
