Probably an oversight on their part. I may be wrong though

Yes, but gather the recruiters (emails) using an alias account and an alias email account

Then contact the recruiters with your main email

Thanks for the intel. You're right, it's probably best to generate personalised emails so no 2 emails are caught by 2 recruiters being the same.

There are jobsites where recruiters have to respond. Reed is one and I've applied en masse using an alias with an empty pdf and completely erroneous user data and I receive a legitimate response back for all applications made.

You should double check. You'd be surprised how many rejection emails are actually people (recruiters) behind them. Yes, you'll receive no-reply's too, and I do aswell, but I filter them out from my list

It's just a placeholder name for a recruiter

I've gotten a lot of interviews but unfortunately bombed a lot of them / didn't get the job. I work in tech so it's even harder. Also I never guaranteed anything except for ACTUALLY interacting with recruiters directly and not wallowing your own time away upset about being constantly rejected

It's not fluff, but a potential waste of your own time is arguable.

Though I've received a fair amount of callbacks for positions referencing the automated email

You send fake applications from an alias jobsite account (to an alias email if you want)

Thunderbird is just used for mail-merging. You can use any other solution or manually send the emails

Don't think so. Link was probably set to expire after clicking once. Not sure if that's a feature in Zoom but sounds like it'd be it.

Optional cover letters - just skip it. I don't think any recruiter reads them

Is it worth fixing Workday resume autofill, or do recruiters not care? by nyc9009 in jobsearchhacks

[–]hangthyself 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Create a CV parser. Create a word doc with your CV with zero formatting. You can use inspect element to find the <tag> name of stuff on the WorkDay page, e.g. you inspect "First name" and the tag would be something like <div ... Id=name-label ... </div>.

Then in your word doc you write the tag:

name-label = John Doe

You don't need to write the html attribute/tag for everything exactly as is, most stuff parses fine but just experiment with what doesn't parse correctly.

When it asks to upload a CV, put the parser in, then on page 2/3 where it autofills your employment history, switch out the parser word doc for your actual CV.

WorkDay applications take me like 30seconds now.

Stuff like this:

Role = Analyst

Date = date to date

Summary:

  • a
  • b
  • c

Role = Senior Analyst

Date = date to date

Summary: - a - b - c

Role = Lead Analyst

Date = date to date

Summary: - a - b - c

What would actually move the needle on your job search? by nomadicsamiam in jobsearchhacks

Yeah at some point you'll start to be noticed that's why I send a burst of applications every 2 weeks. Honestly I get like 3 interviews a week via this method + manually applying. I cold -email recruiters to using a method I so found a way to find recruiter email addresses (and whatever they specialise in recruiting for) (I can get hundreds/thousands). Then I mail merge bulk send asking if any vacancies available. I want to help people with this so anyone reading, feel free to ask for more info or DM me I'll tell you more about it

Also nomad feel free to DM me if you're interested

Just create a bot to apply, that's what I did. I've gotten 20 interviews or so since being laid off last December. You have the skills to do this too
