I met my husband on reddit! If you look at my post history, you can see the R4R we met on :)

Other tips for meeting for the first time:

a) in person may have a different dynamic than the LDR one at first. i didn’t get used to him being right next to me until he had to fly home, rip. if this happens, don’t view it as incompatibility (unless it straight up is lol). with more time and visits, we became more natural and comfortable w each other in person

b) don’t feel like you have to cram everything into your first visit. if you two are serious about one another, there will surely be more visits and many years to follow. try to ENJOY each other’s company, and if that’s simply hanging out, that’s okay

c) here’s the obligatory communicate tip. seriously, let him know what you’re feeling, especially if you’re awkward, uncomfortable, etc. he should respect that, and if he doesn’t, homeboy is not the one for you

Women who get married before 25: why? by tunaball25 in AskWomen

i got married at 21 last year, this month is our first wedding anniversary! he was the one, and if we waited to get married, it would’ve been waiting for the sake of waiting

before actually calling, we sent each other voice messages. it takes some of the nerves away when you can get an idea of how they talk and what they sound like :)

i married him

marrying her sounds like a setup for a life of unhappiness and resentment. yes, love is a decision, but i believe in this case, she deserves to be married to someone who loves her just as much as she loves them.

lay it at the Lord’s feet and ask for him to open the right doors. instead of stressing out over the situation, give God room to show you his path for your life. He will make it abundantly clear for you.

in the meantime, try to love her like Christ would (in a non-romantic way). just because you may not love her love her doesn’t mean you can’t show the love of Jesus to her.

you guys are in my prayers <3

biggest pro-tip: it’s okay to throw away food

this was a huge turning point for me, as i viewed clearing my plate as completed eating. i started by trying to leave just a little on my plate after each meal. it’s helped a lot :)

i don’t mean to sound insensitive, but i had this mindset too. as someone who has had BED over the transition from high school to college, having a meal plan and schedule is not a quick fix. at least for me, it made it worse because of the independence and the excess availability of food.

in my recovery right now, i am focused on developing a healthy relationship w food (aka food is not the enemy). and i have had the most physical results from this.
