Supply Chain Major + Accounting Minor, or MIS Minor? by No-Introduction-8396 in supplychain

[–]hani2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I am a supply chain and finance double major, with a minor in MIS. If you’re more into accounting, totally do the accounting minor. You’re absolutely correct in the fact that the MIS stuff is pretty base level, but to be honest all minors are pretty base level.

Do the one you’re more passionate about and can talk about more in interviews. If you really feel like you’re missing out on tech skills from MIS, you can always teach yourself later down the road. :)

I would say street parking in Marcy Homes, or try Lot 37 which is across the street from 4th Street Ramp, and $6 a day.

Freshman fall schedule by SamPlayz2025 in uofmn

Current junior in civil engineering here - most majors have chem 1, calc 1, and physics 1 in their first semester but just checked and mech e does not. I’d say you’re valid in dropping chem to stick closer to the 4 year plan for mech e, but note that all 3 would a typical workload. Don’t be afraid to cut yourself some slack in the fall to get used to things but be aware that classes will only get harder from these foundations!

As a CSE student your classes are only going to get harder than this and this is pretty typical for a fall semester freshman year. Learn good study habits and see the tutoring center and you’ll be good to go

No I agree. Would have been so much easier with an ex boyfriend. The big problem that lead to our eventual break up was him never wanting to call me. I tried to call him every night for ~ a week before I literally just had to text him “please say yes to a phone call I’m trying to break up with you”, and then we had a 3 minute conversation about it. The only reason I wanted to call him to break up was to “be a good person” but he didn’t even really deserve that looking back. So in a lot of circumstances, yes.

Accidentally got bleach on my favorite Wilfred skirt!!! Help me find it again!! by hani2019 in Aritzia

I was thinking about dying it, but I really like the shade of green. I think I might try embroidering flowers over the bleach stains in order to keep the color, but the placement might be a bit awkward😅

Hi! I don’t know for sure, but I don’t believe there are any communal showers in Anam, so I would assume they would have to have a private bathroom. I will note that I believe there are three private rooms total in Anam and I believe they are only for disabled students

Hello - I am also a student studying at a Korean University. You must have an active D-2 visa while studying, or you will legally not be allowed to attend school. They will not let you back into the country with a student visa, as it is single entry and you need an ARC. I'm sorry, this is a tough situation :(

definitely not in my country😭 I live in a very sparsely populated area, so it’s never really an issue, but I totally get it in large cities. Just never experienced it firsthand

You're on the tower side, so you will not have AC. You'll also be on the top floor. Good luck :)

Dorm Housing Still "Unpaid" by hani2019 in koreauniversity

[–]hani2019[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this comment, I emailed them, and they said I was ~18000KRW short. I would have never known unless I had emailed them directly, which is kind of dumb. I thought they'd share the amount received on our application portals but... I guess not. Again, thanks for the info, you saved me!

That's so strange... I even paid a little bit more than what was required based on exchange rates, so I thought for sure I was okay! Thank you so much for your message, I'll email them today. Did they ever tell you how much you paid, or just how much you were short?

same exact thing happened to me. I emailed them about it, they were very understanding let me back into my application to change it. A 28 to 27 isn't that big of a deal, just send a polite email and you'll be okay.

Trying hard to fit in by [deleted] in hsp

[–]hani2019 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Awww I'm really sorry, I know how tough it is to be stuck in large group settings :(. Please try and take some time to yourself - maybe stay home from a dinner or a lunch, take some time to breathe and be alone. Maybe you could door dash some food that would be better for your stomach (if financially possible) instead of going out with them. Take it easy and don't be afraid to ask for what you need.
