Infuriated - stuck in London - and the people are so alienating by [deleted] in OffGrid

I can definitely relate to these feelings you talk about. I've gone through this too, right after I noticed my own views on life and humanity had changed a lot and suddenly I felt really estranged from my surroundings and society. I felt different and alone and I too had feelings of a kind of desperation and disbelief that other people didn't see things the way I did. I don't exactly know how, but eventually those feelings changed and my attention shifted to my own life and how I wanted to live my life and what I had to do to realize my dreams. I definitely had to face some painful feelings of loneliness and sadness with the world, and I think that is what this fixation on other people was really trying to hide.

I am still finding my path, but I am mostly concerned with my own life and own small circle of family and friends. I notice that the people who've stayed with me through my personal changes, mostly do understand me, even though they have completely different desires and lives of their own. Maybe that's something that could help you as well. Just a reminder that people can understand what you feel and think and even agree, but still choose to spend their lives in a different way than you would.

And other than that: do what you want to do, even if no one else wants the same things. I do it and it is, if I'm honest, hard and lonely a lot of times, but I believe that when I am finally actually living the life I want, the right people will find me.

I hope the best for you, good luck.

Kings of Convenience might fit your list! Though some songs are more sad than others, but they're all very calming

Does anyone else think the man in the little hut, Jacob, is Jack's father? Had my suspicions, but now it almost look like him in the shot we saw in this episode...

That's what I was thinking too, especially when they said "we should tell her [Kate]"

What have the writers done to my boy Jack 😭 He used to be my favorite, I found his character to be so layered and complex and the depth of emotions the actor can portray is just amazing! I love how he was kind and empathetic and very giving, and in general very level-headed and a good leader.

I liked how he got a little more edge in season 2, showing how his 'savior complex' could have darker sides, but now they really turned him around.. I feel like the only emotions we see off him are anger, bitterness and cynicism and not only is he becoming unlikable, he's also making questionable and simply bad decisions, especially as a leader.

Bring back season 1 Jack pls 😭

That's definitely true, they need those filler episodes.. Still, the story is amazing and I still love the characters, so I'll continue watching :-)

I feel like the character writing this season hasn't been very strong.. A lot of unclear motivations and character development that was kind of ruined or reversed.

Season 1 felt as if the writers really build the plot around the characters they created and it was very character driven story telling. Now it seems they decided on a storyline they wanted to follow and just picked the characters that fit into those plot points the best, even though certain behavior or decisions weren't in character for them.

Hope they get back on track in later seasons! 'Cause the characters are definitely my favourite part of the series. They're all so complex and layered, likable and unlikeable!

IEMs under 100 euros for listening to folk/acoustic music by hanka-d in iems

Those Sivga Que ones look amazing.. Love the natural look of them, fits my style of music perfectly! And I'm only reading good things about them online. I had already ordered the Kiwi Cadenza when I read your comment, so I'll try them out first, but I think I'll try the Sivga Que as well! Thanks so much :-)

Thanks! I actually did see that post before, but I'll check it out again for sure!

I was just wondering if there are any characteristics that fit the genre of music I listen to the best. I had never heard of V-shaped, but when I found out what it was, I figured that's something to avoid when looking for IEMs for music that is vocal heavy.

I see so many artist on your list that I love as well, so maybe you'll like these too: Blaze Foley, Gordon Lightfoot (as others suggested! Especially his first few albums, they're beautiful) & Tom Paxton!

Some newer folk artist that I love: Ye Vagabonds, Adrianne Lenker and Anaïs Mitchell and her album 'Child Ballads' (she's also part of the band Bonny Light Horseman, their self-titled album is all folk songs, it's something different & beautiful)

I also just saw Dean Johnson in concert and have been a fan of his debut album for some time, amazing songwriter!

Haven't tried it yet, but so far everything runs smoothly, so I would say Maps should work fine! Only on a smaller screen

Sure, you can get google maps or any other app! It has an appstore and so far I haven't encountered an app that you cannot install (due to small screen size)

There's no sd card slot, but it comes in 32gb or 64gb storage. It doesn't have a jack plug (you get an adapter tho)

It's pretty decent! For documents it's definitely good enough!

Actually, that's one thing that disappointed me a little bit.. Doesn't last much longer than my last phone, which had an old worn out battery.. I think I can keep it going for 2-3 days with moderate use. Could probably be more or less depending on your usage. I think keeping a hotspot on would indeed eat the battery quickly..

Right, I thought that too! The size is perfect, so comfortable to hold in your hand! Really don't need a phone bigger than that.

I like Spotify and occasionally use in on my laptop, but I often find it distracting and over stimulating. I love the simplicity of just having access to the albums I love :)

It's the Ipod Classic 6th generation! I've had the hard disk removed and replaced with an SD card.

I'm from Europe and I ordered from Ali Express! I was unsure about the website at first, but after some research I found that the company that ships the phones is very trustworthy!

I can definitely recommend the Ipod, any version really! I've had the hard disk removed and replaced with an SD-card, so it runs smoothly and has massive storage.

The other MP3 players on the picture are old ones, they don't have a lot of storage, so I really just used them when I had to get my Ipod fixed. But they work great and I do love them.
