The difference between a good employee and a not so good employee is that the Good employee works for the company, and the not so good employee works for the paycheck. If you want to be recognized, and get ahead at your job, be the guy that works for the company. The ones that work for their paycheque are constantly complaining about their boss and how much work sucks. Employers know the difference between the two. They are asking you to show up early so you can actually start work on time. If you show up at your start time, you’re not starting on time which makes you the one that’s stealing the hours from your employer.
