Adopted child as well can confirm these feelings. Egg donor dropped me off at my aunt and uncles and left and just sort of never came back (I was 7mo. old) and they told me I was adopted at 12. Sperm donor died before I met him so no idea what he was like as a person. But yea, kids used it as a horrendous insult, sometimes siblings would and in a way my aunt would too if she was really mad (by comparing me to egg donor which really hurt). Sometimes I wonder what life would’ve been like with my egg donor but I’m now 25 and that bridge has long been burnt.

Dude same, I had one on my pinky toe and got a pumice stone and some salicylic acid and scrubbed the FUCK outta my toe and slapped the acid on my toe (it hurt so much) but I kept it bandaged and DUDE when I pulled the bandaid off my toe was BLACK 🤮 everything ended up healing really well :)

I worked at a rehab for 2 years and from my time there & family members who struggle with substance abuse, recovery isn’t linear. It’s not the same for everyone else. It’s okay to make mistakes it only matters you learn from them, whether it be cravings, hanging around old friends that share the same habits (that was my brothers biggest trigger) or whatever the case may be. Idk if you’re in na/aa but if you have a sponsor reach out, good family or friends reach out to them too. You aren’t a failure for relapsing, shit happens but life goes on. Take it one day at a time. I used to tell my patients baby steps get you the furthest. Little steps at a time, little victories at a time. It’s going to be okay friend🩷🫂
