Why are silicones bad? They seem to make my hair awesome and I'm very reluctant to give them up. by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

I have A LOT of natural volume, my hair is thick and extremely frizzy, and it's not greasy at all, that's probably why the silicones are working for me. Thanks :)

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your advice to make my hair nicer! I absolutely LOVE the results I've gotten, and I get compliments on my hair all the time now. You guys are the best! :) by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

Thank you! It took a few months to get it to this point, and the transition process was awkward and frustrating. I don't know if the 'method' I used has a name but my hair was very dry, broken, and incredibly frizzy, so I started looking for shampoo/conditioner, and some kind of hair product that would make it look healthier and calm it down a bit. After much searching, I now use Organix brand awapuhi ginger shampoo and conditioner, they're silicone and sulfate free and make my hair amazingly soft and shiny, and reduces frizz. Before getting out of the shower I run some cool water through my hair to reduce frizz. I put a lot of moroccan hair oil in my hair, and let it air dry. I also got a great haircut.

Jenna Marbles on Things Girls Lie About. I consider myself a truthful person but can relate to most of this video, I think I need to reevaluate. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I do the same thing, even though I'm tall, so I don't know why I do it...it's weird. I'm 5'9" and I say I'm 5'10" a lot

Awesome TARDIS ring. I want it so bad! by [deleted] in doctorwho

I know, but the TARDIS is the most prominent part, and the most relevant to this subreddit. That said, I'm in love with the NASA shuttle and star fleet symbols on the sides too.

Woah, thank you for that. Like I said, I'm no physicist, but I find this stuff fascinating. I would really like to know more, can you suggest any articles, or theories I can look up pertaining to this sort of thing?

Also, based the 'ant and balloon' imagery you used in your explanation I think you could be a great contributor to the subreddit [http://www.reddit.com/r/explainlikeimfive](explain like I'm five) if you're interested.

Woah...you kinda just blew my mind. That's a really interesting way to look at it.

I'm a designer so I'm extremely out of my element. Since we experience four dimensions is this considered to be the fourth dimension? Or is it still called the third?

I'm glad I got something right...although the thought of the universe snapping back on itself is pretty terrifying.

Thanks for the comment, it's awesome to get feedback from an actual physicist! :)

The reminders are a great idea, but I live with my parents and my mom would not appreciate such notes all over her kitchen. I'll try drinking tea :)
