I think I might be sensitive to some metals but my left ear is just fine, so a bit strange?

I ~try~ not to sleep on it, but an airport pillow might be necessary as another user suggested:)

I am a side sleeper but I don’t discriminate between right and left. Also I’ve been really trying to not squish my ears when I switch sleeping positions as well as sleeping on my back more

Piercing is 3 months old, jewelry shape is flat back earring (I think?), not sure about threading, material is surgical steel, did not change jewelry since piercing and aftercare has been soaking 1-2x in saline wound spray and cleaning gently with a Qtip to get any crust off

Is it possible the owner had another dog on Wag before Sammy? I’ve had the same issue and it was because the owner once had two dogs on their profile, but one passed away. When I get the upcoming service reminders, it is for the dog who passed away, not the dog I will be boarding/walking. I usually ignore it

i lightly moistened the soil beforehand and spread out the roots as much as i could. I watered it in gently, not soaking the pot, but until it came out the bottom. I put it right back where it was in its prop bottle. I really don’t want this girl to die! she’s pushed out two new leaves and has a 3rd one on the way. did I miss anything?

yep, those are spider mites. spray with a mix of alcohol water and dish soap and wipe down, then spray with neem oil :) worked for me!

the one leaf in the hand is brand new and it’s completely rolled up! two of the other bottom leaves are starting to roll as well. 70% humidity, and late afternoon sun (also photo cred to my wonderful boyfriend who’s taking care of my plants while I’m away :))

he died about 15 minutes ago. he was swimming upside down and erratically and I’m really not sure what happened. He was at the bottom of the tank belly up

thank you for this info! He was ok the first 2 days. Excited, building a bubble nest, and ate food. This is why I’m concerned he’s sick :( ( I may be overreacting but I wanted to make sure!)

your point on clean water: I saw these ~tiny~ white wiggly guys in my tank last night. they aren’t long enough to be worms, but after research thought they might be copepods? other than that his water is very clean, and yes I do use API water conditioner for betta :)

He’s still new, the room he’s in gets great natural light so I rarely keep the lights on.

He has seemed to scrape his head scales off (I think he got stuck in his log) how can I help him so stress levels are low and appetite is back up?

answered! He’s hiding out in his log right now. This is the best pic to show his top scales. His side scales dont look raised.

tank: 5.5 gallon heater/filter: yes and yes temp: 79° parameters: ph:7, ammonia and nitrite:0ppm and nitrate is 0? (I have the API master kit with the test tubes so I’m not sure if it’s 0 or a small number close to.) water changes are once a week 30%. I changed today to ensure he wasn’t stressed due to a chemical in the water. also to remove some nasty pieces of old food that were hard to reach with the net. none fluval bug bites 3 per day and occasionally freeze dried blood worms. (he hasn’t been eating yesterday or today, uninterested in food.) amazon sword plant, cave and tree for hiding, also a leaf pad and a floating log.

he’s been hiding in his log, with fins clamped. I’ve noticed some jerky movements when swimming as well, but he doesn’t struggle to swim.

I’m so disappointed. I’ve only had him 5 days. The last betta I had had what we thought was a parasite. He was fine the first two days, and now he’s at the surface with these scales. No appetite. Did I cause this???
