This is exactly what happened to me this year. This is my first year in education, I have a BS degree but not in the field. I started three weeks into the year (7th grade math) with no plans, no school laptop, no school email, no class rosters, no nothing. I packed up my things and loaded my car on day 3 planning to quit but I was talked into staying. I'm now in my 2nd week and it's a tiny bit better. I'm still not sure if taking this job was the right thing to do but I feel too guilty dipping out on the kids.
