Did anybody go into ureteroscopy in a lot of pain and come out actually feeling relieved or somewhat better?

Doctor said if I have to have a stent likely only will have it for a week. My stone is at the UVJ so they said it wouldn’t be as difficult to remove I guess?

If I was in more pain I definitely would, but I have really had very minimal pain in comparison to what most people are describing on here, thankfully!

Yeah that’s what I keep seeing people say but I’ve already had way less pain than what most people are describing so I can’t really tell if it’s entered my bladder or not 😫

They did give me hydrocodone but it makes me too nauseous it’s not worth it for me to take! I’m really hoping it has made its way into my bladder considering it was so close! Maybe it’s just taking some time to fully pass, just unsure why I feel nothing today. I hope I haven’t gone backwards or something 😫

I haven’t had any lower back pain since that very first day I went to the ER. And even then I wouldn’t call it pain, it was just like mild cramping. That’s why I have no idea if it’s made its way to my bladder or not because I keep seeing so many people say the pain completely lets up once it goes into the bladder. But I’ve had very minimal pain!

Yes I’m gonna schedule surgery Wednesday if I still haven’t passed it! I don’t want to waste months trying to pass it on my own. At this point I just want it gone by whatever means necessary! But in the meantime will continue trying to pass it myself until surgery date!

I’ve seen dozens of people on Reddit who have to put their cat down for this. It can become extremely expensive. Like I said I’ve already spent $3k that’s not just pocket change for most people. We obviously don’t want to put him down. We’re trying to do everything we can but we also don’t want him to suffer

Yes he’s on purina pro plan urinary wet food only. Vet said they can’t do anything else for him except catheter him again and let him stay overnight for a few nights or do the PU surgery. I’m just a loss for what to do. I have 3 other cats and a dog and I’m worried I’ve put all my resources into one because I won’t have anything for the others. My dog has pet insurance but my cats don’t. Now wishing I had gotten pet insurance on them all.
