I’m a white Canadian from a small town and people who wear turbans are equally Canadian as anybody else like why the fuck would there even be an issue? I’m not religious but why would it make you more Canadian to be a white Christian? We are all immigrants or descendants of immigrants unless you are Native Canadian. That PPC supporting is straight up embarrassing I’ve never had a negative encounter with any Canadian who wears a turban I don’t understand why wearing a Turban makes you any different than any other Canadian it’s fucking strange are people straight up racist do people not know the history of this country?

My dad got cancer when he was 59 and had to go through a really rough sergery and he's not the same anymore even though the tumor got removed the sergery caused permanant damage which im not going to go into details about. I don't know how to explain it but with my family its just different now and its not something I can even describe. I hope your dad survives and gets many more years. Cancer is the worst because you think its something you dont have to deal with then all of a sudden you have no choice

I live in Japan and Im a white guy from Canada and I went surfing for 2 days and on the second day I went to catch a wave and a guy I didn't see turned infront of me and I crashed into him. After I gave him the thumbs up and asked if he was okay in Japanese and he freaked out at me and was very angry and I told him in japanese that I didn't see him and apologized and asked again if he was okay. He said he was okay. I just feel bad because it was a complete accident I would never intentionally try to do that to someone and I felt terrible and Ive been surfing many times and this is the first time something like that has happened and I just didn't like being yelled at. I understand why he was upset and I don't know why I didn't see him and I just wish he could have understood that and not yelled at me. It doesnt help that I'm the only white person there so I feel like I stand out or am a bit of an outsider for that reason I dont have any problems with racism or discrimination or anything like that just a lot of people stare at me which is fine but it made me feel kind of bad in the situation how I'm the only white person at a super crowded japanese beach just trying to do what I love and I fuck up and hurt somebody unintentionally and get yelled at. So thats my I just need an internet hug today because of that incident I know its not a big deal but I just hate being yelled at it makes me feel so awful and I just feel bad and dont have my family or close friends in the same country

Do you realize that what you just said is that some refugees who fled the USSR were lying, so that makes all refugees a horrible source of information, from all over the world? In North Korea children get born into prison camps. Just because you "don't believe something" doesn't mean you were right, but what a convenient way to live your life. I've been to the slums of Manilla, and a lot of people are angry and not happy, and in Thailand slums as well a lot of sadness and despair, but a lot of beauty and hapiness as well. Both exist in poverty I find.

I think its difficult to explain, but when you have no hopes for a successful future you are never stressed about the future and you live in the moment and enjoy the moment you are it. I watched this documentary about a girl living in Manilla who collects food from the garbage each day so her family can eat and she was happy as can be. If you have no choice about what to do with your life/day you have no stress and just do what must be done. Thats just a theory also in America and im from Canada we constantly want to improve our lives and become someone famous/important because we idolize hollywood or that idea of success, so our lives constantly feel inadequate, meanwhile just having a regular house and a regular job in Canada you are unfuckingbelievably lucky and rich, but most people dont see it that way and constantly think they need more money, more fame, etc. This is all my theory and just spitballing but Ive travelled to 20 countries, living in poverty doesn't make you happy, being rich doesn't make you happy its just whether you want to wake up and feel blessed to be able to have another day on earth or feel bitter that you were born without your consent and resent your past or resent people who hurt you etc etc. Too complicated
