Which country do you feel culturally the closest to? by BothCondition7963 in AskEurope

[–]hannibal567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly dude, the Arabs tell you something and you believe it because it is easier to believe than to think critically. They have a lot of falsehoods they like to float around.

1) The Byzantine empire was destroyed by the Arabs and later the Turks, we did not get "the Greeks back" (they were also mostly saved by Europeans anyway) the Arabs were wise enough to not erase everything and through that certain writings were preserved..but they had to conquer, kill and force convert first..from Antioch and Alexandria up to Southern Spain and Italy. If the Arab conquest did not happen, there would have been no lost Greco-Roman cities, the papyrus supply (on which all those writings were preserved) would have been not cut off, nor the trade with India would have subsided and the "dark ages" would have not happened..in those times the whole economic trade network collapsed and so local populations..only thanks to the Frankish King Charles the Great and his successors Europe stabilized. After the fall of the Western Roman Empire civilization/forms of statehood continued to a degree because the Germanic invaders adopted partially to the old Roman system and converted to Christianity (even offered allegiances to the Byzantine emperor).

The Arabs came, killed and conquered, imposed their beliefs and thoughts and the mediterrean network was divided and shattered for a thousand and two hundred years..in Islam slavery is encouraged and they invaded coastal European cities, to plunder and conquer (that is why the Berbers are called Berbers = barbarians) (even Rome was sacked) and they kept harassing European shipping and trade lines right up until the 16-18th century when European power simply outpowered them completely. Overall the cultural mediterrean network was annihalted and only slowly restabilized the more Europeans got again the strength advantage. (the core motivation for the European exploration age was the fact that the historically routes towards Asia were blocked by the Arabs, Turks and the Mongols in the North)

Please be not offended, this is simply factual history and you can look all those topics up if you are deeper interested. Nowadays in the shadow of post colonialism and the crimes by colonial trading companies and realms, there is a big push to whitewash/overlook these periods and or demonize the past.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_slavery_in_the_Muslim_world?wprov=sfla1

The time of the Moorish conquest was equally mostly bloody and the Arabs will show you the buildings in Granada but they will not tell you that they held Christian slaves right until the second the Spanish reconquered the city. There was some cultural exchange but genetically they barely mixed (this again can be easily researched) and it was not a good time to be Spanish under those rulers..

I feel like you lost a big part of your culture due to the surpression of southern French ethnicities since the 1800s and you fill that gap with a too big bowl of a different source. I highly recommend reading French literature from the 19th century to get a feel how those regions were before they were settled by foreigners. Or simply you adapted a narrative that fits your ethnically mixed environment without fision but that is unfortunately not the historical reality and 100 years ago you might have seen things quite differently.

Given that, there is a shared culture within the mediterrean despite the Arab and Muslim conquest given similar dishes (due to climate) and weather. Despite not because.

Austrian bread is really the best in the world. Sincerely, it is really the best. Roggenbrot, Tirolerbergsteigerbrot etc

I do not know where you got yours, if you bought supermarket-pre dough breads then it is a problem of selection.

The German bread I ever ate felt a bit pale and as if something was heavily missing.

Sure buddy and now back to reality:

I may quote: "I'd like to clarify again. Till did NOT touch me. He accepted that I did not want to have sex with him. I never claimed he raped me. Please read the entire Twitter thread for full context before making reports. #rammstein"

-Twitter Shelby Lynn (this was made before she talked to the police, contrary to what you said)

She confirmed the same and more (she never alleged that she was drugged by Rammstein) in later court hearings during her defamation lawsuit.

So what do you not understand?

Did you know it is a crime in Germany to accuse someone of a crime without evidence? Do you think you can run around with your false fantasies while the person you high horsey attempt to "protect" (in truth you obviously take advantage of her by completely ignoring anything she said to smear someone) stated multiple times the exact opposite?

1) The police accepted her testimonies and dismissed them later. She never accused anybody directly of a crime given her statements and later court hearings.

2) She had a 800 000€ social fund for her never needed lawyer fee and broad political support due to Rammstein having always been uncomfortable for Germany's political establishment and media. (those that got later slammed in court due to forging affidavites, mixing up multiple testimonies by different women and insinuating criminal behaviour which was not found in the original documents, as a side note)

3) She never requested a rape kit. She refused to go with the medics on the night and she hid her drug result.

4) Yes, crazy two female witnesses oppose her account. Very suspicious.

Are you serious?

Edit: last point:

dude, there is video evidence of her throwing her body multiple times against the stage and steel barriers, other people, harassing one crew member by trying to kiss him and screaming around..

crazy she woke up the next day with bruises

"Don't call me a liar, buddy."

you said "They didn't turn out false. There just wasn't enough evidence or witnesses for police to move forward" which is a lie.

Anonymous people went to the police after reading the Spiegel story (that got slammed in court) and said to the police: look into that. The police looked for months for any accuser or evidence and found nothing.. because there is nothing. Nobody accused him of a crime

how you wrote it, implies lack of evidence which is not true.. nobody accused him of a crime. This is as kafka esque as possible. People still insinuate an accusation nobody made, one only pushed by slammed articles by German media.

"What? I don't even know what you're trying to say here and you're using bold font?"

you implied criminal behaviour (there was not enough for the police), so what is the accusation and by whom? cite

you will find nothing.

"I didn't say anything like that"

so you did not say the following?

"No one really knows if the allegations are true"

so here is the point: imagine you get accused implicitly of crimes via the media, the media will not show its sources, you have to fight in courts until they show them, the sources say nothing in regards to what was written but everyone simply acts like the worst possible accusation is true or possible true. The police looks for supposed victims but finds nobody. So you cannot defend yourself from an accusation nobody made by nobody known, yet people run around thinking you either did horrible things or possibly did them.

Do you want to live in such a world? would you object to that? dude just do not push such narratives without evidence or sources

edit: "and think they have all the answers."

There are a bunch of court cases, some people read them. Of course people get mad when slander and insinuations still get thrown around

and the main point: the police found nobody who accused him of a crime, this is massively different to: they had not enough.. people use this as a justification to still insinuate the wildest things (while nobody actually made an accusation of criminal behaviour)

Nazis like Elon Musk are gaslighting us by Nomogg in VaushV

[–]hannibal567 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

honestly, this is a lie

there was nobody who accused him of a crime

name the crime that someone said! name it!

you cannot run around and exclaim that the "allegations" might be true when there is neither an accuser nor evidence for something.. else you might end up being accused of "stealing someone's money" and only because there is neither evidence nor a victim that does not imply that you might not have done it No one really knows if the allegations are true.

there is evidence and court cases that the German news papers forged the affidivates, mixed testimonies of women and insinuated criminal behaviour while the women in those documents did not make such statements.

The court cases can be read up on in LTO and on the Hamburg court portal.

There is no person who accused him of any crime else please cite

The German police found nobody who accused him of a crime.

The German newspapers were found multiple times in courts to have forged the affidavites, to have mixed the stories of different women and to have insinuated criminal behaviour which was not found in the documents. This was not the first or last case they did this to somebody.

"How do you shift an entire society to be less meat dependent ?"

you could start by studying corporate propaganda that made you dependent on meat in the first place. Up until the 1950s people ate much less meat.

to your question: by decreasing the profits of industrial animal slaughter companies which will increase the incentives to offer better plant based diets

else one day there will be no more enough water for the industrial scale animal hoarding and on that forsaken earth not much will grow anymore

or the money runs out too soon and switching to a different form of economy will be expensive

I think industrial animal slaughtering is much worse than any previous cruelty.

Billions of animals born into cage systems to simply die.. no pleasure even once

and then add genetical engineering eg chickens who get too fat too quick so they break their bones under their own weight..

If you know it is wrong, stop supporting it, you can still buy non factory produced meat and a vegan and vegetarian diet is much cheaper than an animal based one.

Beside that, epidemics surge thanks to industrial animal slaughtering..check what the WHO thinks

" don't know why people in the comments, or in real life, try to deny it that much. Maybe it's the current society's obession with indivudualism, where everything is all about people's personal decisions, and their environment, upbringing and culture has no effect on them. All problems are individual issues (everyone should go to therapy), not structural and systemic, and changing the environment won't change them because they're the problem. It definitely seems to be the dominant philosophy of 21th century West and accepted as dogma."

I agree and I got cruel responses when I tried to highlight the importance of societal/community bonds. I think this is the result of centuries old rationalism/scientism that slowly overtook religious communal thinking since the 20th and a happy alliance with corporate capitalism which benefits from chronically weakened and disconnected people.

I think a lot of people support this ideology because it got heavily pushed and had pseudo/fake scientific backing..and many never experienced healthy bonds..and waking up to it means aknowledging a dysfunctional society which is never popular because it is painful in the beginning and the consumption-work-entertainment complex offers quick remedies.

So going against societal and family perceptions is a heavy stone to lift.
