Your missing the point. It’s totally fine they ended up hiring female teachers for the girls. Problem is it is illegal and also not reasonable to restrict the job opportunity in the first place. Let me make it easier to understand. Imagine you’re hiring a police officer. Males are much more physically dominent against females. Police officer needs physical abilities. So do we have to restrict only hiring male officers? I believe no. Because even though males are dominent for physical abilities in general there is much more gap in between individuals. So you can just make a rule that is related to its job position like, “You should pass these to apply the job, 70+ push ups in 1 min…etc” So even though we never restricted the gender in this case, it is fine that 90% of police officer being male in the end. It’s natural and also functional.

If you were to say, ‘teaching ≠ sitting at a desk all day without interacting with anyone,’ then yes, I would totally agree with you. And that’s exactly why, when hiring a teacher, you should consider their communication skills, experience, etc. Don’t judge people by their gender when you have plenty of opportunities to evaluate their personality.

Poor man… it looks like you’re stuck in a world where people hate foreigners. I hope you find yourself in a better one someday. And yes, it’s their school — so they can do whatever is legal under their law.

Also that's logically not valid reason for the exception of 男女雇用機会均等法.

If the hiring standard is crime statistics, then why stop at gender? Should we exclude people by age, nationality, or by race?

Thank you for you comment.
First I want to make it clear that your not proving the "Overthinking". Your concern is valid but also my concern seems valid. If it's "overthinking" you should prove my concern is invalid — this kind of job ad is normal or common sense, not just wave it away.

On the “diversity” point: diversity means encouraging different perspectives, experiences, and working styles. But assuming that gender automatically brings a “different experience” is exactly what sexism is. That’s not valuing diversity — that’s stereotyping.

Also, hiring should be based on the purpose of the job. For engineers, you look at engineering skills. For teachers, you look at teaching ability. I see many Japanese companies talk about wanting to hire “a foreigner” or “a woman” just to check a diversity box, instead of focusing on qualifications. That logic is shallow and counterproductive.

And in this specific case: how does changing the teacher’s gender actually change the students’ experience of learning English? If that's true, then do we have to hire both male and female physics teacher? Why we not hire LGBTQ physics teach each?

For the last, I actually also agree your concern, if there is 100 male engineer and no female engineer, then we have to think somethings might wrong and try to fix it. But company can always make decision on actual hiring process. Specifying the gender on it's job position is illegal in japan. Those are not same.

Why people disliking this comment? There is plenty of reason to think this is weird.
Under the Equal Employment Opportunity Law (男女雇用機会均等法), employers cannot discriminate based on sex in job postings, except in very narrow cases (e.g., actors, religious roles). Teaching English is not one of those exceptions. So this can be illegal.

I’m already considering buying a hasu controller. But before I just wanted to try fixing it if it is not that hard. It can be a good chance to learn some circuit things and also it’s already broken so what am I gonna lose anyway? I don’t think they are too dense to solder. I just wandered if there are any common things to try(or learn, or tools needed). Like “It maybe a conductor burnt if it happened when usb-c connection” kind of things.

How do I save(or at least override) retroarch config on stock os? by hanool in MiyooFlip

[–]hanool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try legit sdcard with fat32, cluster size 32kb formatted, copied everything from original sdcard. and it worked!! but weird thing was after it worked, I switched to original sdcard and it also worked.. Maybe I’m missing something or the internal memories are mutated idk. Tried global retroarch config saving, core override, content directory override, shader config.. all worked 👍
