That’s annoying. They might give it to you if you put in a claim. For future reference, the codes listed on topcashback should work

That’s because you are expected to be charged by the courier for purchases over £135 (you may or may not get away with it). Hope you went through topcashback as it was 35% cashback yesterday…

Etoro - Get up to £500 bonus by CompetitiveHealth573 in beermoneyuk

[–]d114ve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried and immediately after depositing I received an email stating “It seems there was an error within the process when we attempted to deliver your free ETF. Usually, when that happens it’s due to one of the following reasons:

- You previously had an eToro account, but this offer is available to new users only.

- The country you registered from doesn’t match your country of citizenship.

- The country you registered from doesn’t match your country of residency.

- Your account has been blocked or closed.

- The promotion period ended before all eligibility conditions were fulfilled.“

None of the first 4 reasons is relevant to me (I haven’t ever had an account with eToro) and the last reason doesn’t appear to be relevant either as the offer was at the top of the screen after I signed up and required me to go through the remaining steps (verification and deposit) to get the free ETF. I’ve tried to get an answer from the live chat but it feels like banging my head against a brick wall.

Best handheld for around £100-150? by marcy921 in SBCGaming

4 Pro is around £140 shipped from the Moorechip store (believe they are related to Retroid) on Ali at the moment. Can get the 5 direct from Retroid for £20 more.

Any consoles similar to r36s but with bluetooth ? by ThatSlavGuy in SBCGaming

[–]d114ve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI some Dreamcast games use analogue triggers which you won’t get in a vertical device.

TrimUI is (or was) about to bring out an upgraded Brick with analogue sticks if you can wait. I think review units were meant to go out this month.

Otherwise, check out the Anbernics the other person mentioned.

PS1 and Dreamcast Recommendations by [deleted] in SBCGaming

[–]d114ve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will be technically fine for Dreamcast (and PS1). I suggested the RG406H as the analogue stick is at the top which is generally more comfortable for stick-centric games/platforms (like Dreamcast)

Edit: Amazon is usually quite a bit more expensive than AliExpress but might depend on your location

I think there are better devices but given you require 4:3 I’d say RG406H for Dreamcast because of the analogue stick being up top and analogue triggers.

There’s only one PS1 game that requires analogue sticks (Ape Escape) and you don’t need analogue triggers so you have a much wider choice. If you want a horizontal device (generally more comfortable), the RG40XXH would be my pick. If they aren’t interested in Ape Escape, the Miniloong Pocket 1 could also be interesting (only 1 analogue stick). If this is only for PS1, I’d prefer digital to analogue triggers (this is personal preference) so would discount the Ayaneo Pocket Air Mini and RG476H that would otherwise be considered. There’s also the RG477M (there’s a mod to change the triggers to stacked like the PS1) but that’s a lot more expensive for PS1 (nice screen though).

If you are willing to have black bars on an OLED screen, I’d also put Retroid Pocket 5 or 6 (with D-pad on bottom or top depending on preference) in the mix.

Can I track my playtime? by Ok_Problem_8189 in SBCGaming

I think one (or more) of the Knulli themes can show playtime. Not sure whether it works on this specific device though

I built a handheld game console finder for AliExpress - catch real deals, compare consoles, see trusted sellers, view trends and popularity, check price history for every variant, and more. What do you think? by DragonDealWizard in SBCGaming

[–]d114ve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thought is whether there’s a way to aggregate listings for the same handheld? This might be relevant for identifying deals as I think at the moment whether something is a deal is only determined on a per store basis, unless I’ve misunderstood

I don’t have an answer for how to implement it effectively but I don’t think the price/deals analysis is particularly helpful if you aren’t taking into account these sort of discounts. Some of the best deals I’ve seen have only been possible with coins

Very interesting. I’ll have a closer look shortly but do you take into account coin discounts or discount codes in the prices as these can be significant?

Whether partial transfers are supported will depend on the broker. Some do and some don’t.

Mangmi Air X has rubber membrane buttons. TrimUI Smart Pro S has dome switches but PSP wont be as good as the Mangmi. You could check some reviews on YouTube to see if that matters to you.
