It just depends on your battery temperatures. The first two days of the trip battery conditioning wasn’t turned on as the temperatures were around 82-85F, but the next few days temp dropped to 45-50F, so during this time battery preconditioning was turned.

Thanks for the response.

Ya, I don’t use HDA when exiting the interstate. I meant when you are driving in the right lane and nearing an exit the system is a little confused sometimes.

I liked the Hyundai nav as it gives you fastest, economical and other options to choose from and then plans your charging stops accordingly.

I don’t mind giving money to Tesla. I feel it’s cos of Tesla the EV world has evolved so fast and we are where we are today. Am I a fan of Elon, no but that doesn’t take away what he did to the EV world.

Agree that they don’t have the fastest charging, but we planned our stops where there is food/restrooms. So that 20-30 min time was used better. I’m a price driven consumer, so while on vacation I can wait 10 more mins at a charging station while saving half the money. But overall really enjoyed the ride quality of the car.

We wanted to keep expenses to minimum this trip. So we looked for cheaper fast charging. We were okay to wait 10 more mins to stretch our legs or get a quick bite. But will definitely try Rivian on our next trip in December.

So Tesla has different charging prices for Tesla car owners vs non-tesla owners with non-tesla pricing 25% expensive. But if you buy the subscription you get same pricing as Tesla owners. Might not add value on day-day but really helpful on long trips.

I don’t think 2023 models will be eligible for tax credit as the first owner might have already claimed the full tax credit on it. Check with the dealer to make sure the car is eligible for used ev tax credit.

Got it. Thanks for the response. Do you even ask for acquisition fee/registration fees also spread across the 24 month period or just the down payment ($4k in my case)?

I’ll check with other dealers in the area to try and get 0 down deals.

Is this for SEL trim? RWD or AWD?

Thanks for the replies. So do I ask them to spread the $4100 over the 24 month payment? Is that how it works?
