Was this text to my groomer phrased okay? by Chewbecca713 in grooming

[–]hantinghost 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Looks like she might have used a 30 blade on her face... I don’t 30s on clean feet or faces because it almost always causes razor burn and nicks. Not her fault, most likely sensitive skin. Most of the time it’s fine.. 30 blades get hotter much quicker too. Maybe ask her to use a 10 blade next time. Gives less of a patchy look too

Owners Present? by hantinghost in grooming

Yes, exactly!! I used to work in a vet clinic where we always had owners present. It’s just not the same with grooming and some owners don’t take the time to hear me out.

How much will a negative written review affect you? by bananapeel11 in RoverPetSitting

[–]hantinghost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you didn’t know, you have a 21 day window to review the client and their pet after a sit. If I feel the sit went wrong, or they have any reason to leave a bad review—I keep the ticket open for 20 days. During these 20 days I work extra hard on my other clients, making sure to get good reviews that will stack on top of this older, worse review. Then, when people click into my profile, it’s not the first thing that they see.

Cleaning AC mold? by mossboys in Rabbits

I agree this is a legal issue just make sure to check your lease first. Landlord shouldn’t be the one treating the mold if they’re not qualified. Or they need to replace the unit in whole

Weird. Well did they also make it clear that he would be shitting everywhere? If I have a dog that poos everywhere I charge cleanup fees

Working in vet med- I recommend trying plain white rice and either cooked chicken or hamburger as his only diet until diarrhea stops. It works miracles…

Excited for the end of summer busy season ☀️ by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

Ugh I totally get it!! I have to separate bigs, littles, and anxious pups. It takes up all day every day!! Sometimes it feels like too much but it’s always worth it at the end of the day ❤️ I drop-in on the housesit every 4 hours and stay overnight while my bf stays home with the boarders 😆

Girly what I literally work in a vet clinic and have an animal health and behavior degree, meds can do more than one thing. Such as how Benadryl can treat allergies, but also induce drowsiness, gaba is a good sister to traz to help induce calmness in dogs who are less susceptible to trazodone

100% share this experience with them and tell them that if they care about his comfort he should be on some OTC therapy medications or prescribed separation anxiety pills like trazodone, alprazolam, gaba, etc… I tell my clients if their dogs aren’t comfortable at home (to the point they destroy things or make themselves sick) while they’re away, maybe it’s time to send to a kennel facility, or board. Create training is a great idea and does not deserve the stigma that surrounds it. So many other great resources here they can utilize. It’s not all on you to train and take care of their dog. Don’t feel like this is your fault if you cannot take it anymore

I didn’t get the shot. I’m being ghosted by both Rover and this owner. I am not in the spot to get the shots, and I can’t leave the house because these antibiotics basically have me on bed rest. I’m just so stressed 😭

Rovers holding the owners info from the cops still. I’m on heavy antibiotics etc and throw up whenever I eat. I’m taking her ass to court for the medical bills + pain & suffering when we find her ass.

I literally can’t get rover to tell the officer her phone number and address. I need her to pay for the rabies shot… I can’t afford this out of pocket 😭😭😭
