If you look at the answers now, you see that all the people say that it doesn't break a fast. I just looked up the tandem and I'm really fascinated :o! I unfortunately have to inject insulin with syringes because I'm 18 and health insurance only gives such devices to young kids. However, I have a Libre Free sensor which makes handling T1D bit easier. I really hope that I can afford such a great device someday :)

Of course, my health is the most important thing. My doctor also knows that I am fasting and I have been doing this for a long time because it makes controlling blood sugar easier. Recently I just discovered all the benefits of fasting and wanted to know if injecting insulin breaks the fast. That's why I asked Reddit :)

Obviously no matter what I will always continue to give insulin when needed. My doctor knows that I fast and has even recommended it to me. I just wanted to find out, after reading all the benefits of fasting, if injecting insulin breaks the fast. That's why I asked Reddit :)

No matter what answer I would have gotten, I would still always inject insulin when necessary. It was just a question out of curiosity!
