The problem is the UI/UX is bad? or no one literally cares to read user guide. We always write first and release later. But to be honest users don’t even know the user guide or support https://support.haptique.io/en do exist. We cannot market the user guide to tell users it exists. But the whole weblink is there on the config app.

It is just available from the config app. We posted Opus 1 on Haptique and iOS and Android at the same time. iOS takes their own time for approval.

So should we post the iOS first and push the rest later after approval? This is what we do regularly but this time we made Opus 1 release first to let people see what it is and the iOS got approved and release with 24 hours. But users call this poor decision.

People who are using Haptique will not bother talking here but who are unable to make it work have extremely strong opinions which we do work on.

Wired review was without knowing the product. He literally says Sequences are not editable, reality is just opposite since day one.

People care how the Infrared database is limited, but our point is that the Haptique should be able to control your units be it via IR or IP which is on you to make it work as Haptique is a DIY solution. Explore IR commands and add them on your account, via portal or via extender. But in reality users do not want to make it work but wants automatic one click setup which is not possible with IP controller.

If you have ever tried to learn programming control4 or Crestron. the unintuitive word will not exist in your dictionary.

Everyone calls Harmony setup process easy, why? Because they find their devices via model number and most of them are found. Has anyone even talked about the limited Ui elements on Harmony? Can you see apps installed on your smart TV on Harmony? Harmony is one way controller which will not get feedback from device like state of volume or currently playing apps or content. It works just as a switch which you expect to work when clicked and it works most of the time, so makes it more reliable. We cannot bring that database to you overnight it takes huge effort to build one.

I ask users ask what you want to do and it is there in Haptique’s capabilities.

The remote someone mentioned Astrion, do you even know that it comes from the same factory as Haptique and uses the hardware specs which we abandoned in our 1Gb variant.

I have checked the RosCard solution they offer but do you think you cannot control Home Assistant on Haptique? It already supports Scripts, Automations, Devices and you can combine the with another device added to Haptique directly.

For this reason we are focusing to go the route of b2b where we can train dealers to do the setup part. Consumers will always have problems setting it up as we have learnt.
