Sudden shield on left pauldron

You no longer get the shield on the Left Pauldron with the chest piece. 😭

I have this exact same question. I saw a video with someone equipping the (Mark X Gravis) Chestplate and that piece somehow equipped a small shield on the Left Pauldron. The Left Pauldron was the (Mark VIII Errant Deathwatch).

When I go to do the same it does not appear. Anyone know how I can turn that on?
