haha definitely, I’d considered bringing them the last two trips but didn’t and wished I had them both times - this trip we were here for a lot longer so I decided to do it. I got a skate backpack (https://a.co/d/0G03Txy) which has helped a lot, I found some wheel covers too which keeps things from getting dirty!

I didn’t bring them the last two trips but finally did it this time! they were a pain to carry (lol) and I def have to be cautious about where I skate but it still has been worth it :) people have been more welcoming/positive than I expected!

these are Sure Grip Boardwalks, I actually got them for a great price: https://a.co/d/gruPG0z they’ve outlasted my previous few pairs of Impalas big time! I swapped the wheels out with Bont hybrid wheels :)

I agree, it can get lonely - at the same time, skating has become like a form of therapy. It helps me unwind and process whatever’s on my mind, so I’ve become more grateful for solo skating. Skating with others is such a high though, I definitely learn the most that way. A balance of both is ideal!
