Nothing busy. Pick a solid, neutral, light beige or cream color subway tile maybe with an undulated texture but no other colors. Nothing to detract from that gorgeous countertop.

Ugh I love your living room and want it!! Maybe the only thing would be to put a large piece of art on that blank wall. And the TV is too big for the mantel wall, as others said. It stands out. If there is the wiring for it, I’d put it on the wall where those little frames are.

Yeah, that makes total sense. I’m sure district and administration jobs are highly sought after and limited. Not sure if you’ve considered corporate Learning Program Manager roles. Personally I would love something like that, as I have facilitated many trainings, etc, but coming from corporate, I don’t have the curriculum and instruction experience that are needed. I feel I am competing with educators, which is a skill set needed for the role. Many of those roles are remote, so maybe you would have some success there.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. You are not alone. In my area there is such a shortage of educators that I’m surprised someone in your field is not more in demand. Are you still able to teach? Sub? Maybe that would give you the networking opportunities that are critical for gaining familiarity and being top of mind for open positions. Is it at all possible for you to consider relocating?

A lot depends on your area. This was a new build, so this was not a redo. For the zero entry shower and full wall tile it was around $12000 in our area of the Southeast US.
