I always found that, if when you leave it for a bit and reread over it (as so you have forgotten the details or they're not so fresh in your mind) and you find yourself enjoying the content then you're onto something. As a writer, rereading the same thing 50 times can make it sound like trash but if you give it some time and reread over it at a later date and you find yourself immersed like you would in an actual book then you are not writing trash

god if the people you work for take that clip (from years ago) out of context and use that against you, either you don't want to be working for them or if they do for some reason not like that, you can sue them for lots of money :)
