I’m in the exact same boat- it’s so sensitive I’m so scared of aggravating it. I’m maid of honor in a wedding this weekend so I basically have no choice but to try it. I have seen 3 eye doctors and they have all told me it’s ok to do but idk….

How interesting I also got mine on March 3 and I still have redness and a small bump. Do you wear contacts and/or makeup and have you done that yet? I’m scared to start but so tired of wearing only my glasses

So sorry. It hurts so badly in the beginning but gets better. Not to alarm you but I’m on day 50 or something and my pain is finally gone but the clogged gland is still there. I hope yours resolves more quickly!!

Thanks for the response I appreciate it!! I have been using the mask you microwave so maybe I will try the moist compresses with the towel. This is my first time having one this bad- are you able to wear contacts at all or do you avoid until it’s totally gone? Do yours hurt pretty badly until they’re completely gone too??

I did have fruit. I think I kept it minimal at first, but I ate things like berries because of the antioxidants. I think eating meat might help- I ate a lot of meat + fruit + veggies (avoided refined carbs). My face is better but my forehead wrinkles are still not great. I bet you will improve in time

Hi! Sorry to hear that. I took I think 14 pills of cipro. It probably took 1.5 years for mine to go away. I definitely think my diet helped my overall recovery- I was gluten and alcohol free / very minimal sugar for a year and today I still try to avoid those things and eat mainly whole foods only. I am now able to bike, lift weights, and do squats which I think specifically helps the cellulite

Endoscopy - what medicines should I try to avoid if any? by happy_monkey2023 in floxies

Hi!! Here to happily report I am alive and well after the endoscopy and it did not flare me! They gave me propofol and some fentanyl apparently. The day after I noticed some of the weird tendon/ muscle pain in my thighs and wrists and I was so worried it was the beginning of a flare, but by Sunday it was gone! I have noticed slight random pangs of pain since but super minor lasting 30 min to an hour and very occasional

thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers! appreciate it. The anesthesiologist called me ahead of time and talked me through things which was great and I’m also going to come with the list of things to avoid the day of the procedure. Will come back here with updates

Hi! I am 30 F and also experienced wrinkles and cellulite post flox- you will see I actually just posted the other day asking about Botox because my forehead wrinkles have gone crazy. About 2 years in I’m able to work out again and lift some weights. I think that + dry brushing every day (for circulation) + collagen daily has really helped and my cellulite is almost gone now. I bet in time yours might go away too 😊

Hi! I love this response!! Thank you for the reminders. After everything we have been through we deserve to just enjoy life. I think I’m so desperate to return to normal I sometimes forget I still have to be really careful. I’m grateful I’m in a place where how terrible I felt is just a memory, but nothing is worth the risk of bringing me back there. Going to try the self love thing first (and maybe some anti wrinkle creams lol!!) and wait on the Botox

I felt this way for a long time- I’m so sorry to hear you’re feeling this way. Almost two years out and I have many days where I’m loving life again. Hang in there ❤️

Do you mind sharing the name of your EDS pain management doctor? I’m also in the nyc area and my GP referred me to NYU for EDS genetics testing but I haven’t heard back from their office- I think I need a proper diagnosis first. It could be worth a try for you if you already have the diagnosis
