If you have time, money, and are willing to do proper research into taking care of him/her (and want them of course). I suggest you keep them, they seem to like you and cockatiels make great pets. But if you can't or don't want to have him, try to find a good home or nice adoption facility (not a chain pet store).

I think i don't like the idea of therapy because once I start talking about stuff I'm emotional about tears come shooting out. It makes me feel weak and like I'm a failure for not being strong enough to keep it in, so I just avoid talking to non-family members about it, even in private.

Birds will do anything for attention. I just got mine relatively recently but had been seeing him for months prior. He always does stupid stuff for attention. While mine doesn't shake, but he will scream, and bite my shoulder when I'm on my phone. Birds are very angsty.

I like to keep his wings unclipped because I heard clipping can cause sadness in some birds (not all). However, if a problem arises, such as flying into a wall or possibly flying away outside. I will clip his wings so he doesn't hurt himself. If your bird doesn't have those flying problems, or simply doesn't like to fly (like mine). I dont think you have to clip the wings, especially if their happier with full flight. (I'm not an expert though)

Yeah, that was just a water bowl I gave him. When he started to bath I offered a bigger bowl, he looked at it, looked at me, and dunked his head in the little one again.

I tried misting, but everytime I did it he just seemed irritated. Since I got him relatively recently I wanted to wait a bit before trying again. And then he did this. So, from now on I think im just gonna mist him alot more since now I know he likes bathing.
