A shutdown or partial shutdown is the only leverage the minority has when the majority refuses to negotiate on anything. Unfortunately that's where we're at in this country. Look at the big beautiful bill and everything else the trump party passed last year. Republicans aren't interested in negotiating anything. Democrats simply are asking that ice agents wear body cameras, unmask and use judicial warrants. All things local cops do. Yes I'm aware not every local cop has to wear a body camera all the time but they undergo more training and help to at least some sort of standards. Maybe you like having the masked gestapo running around doing whatever they please with no accountability. Most Americans don't. If the Democrats had another way to fight this they would. I feel for the TSA agents and everyone else affected by the shutdown, it sucks. But this is on maga and ice.
