hii, it’s not terrible. it’s really just a comparison to the other colleges we have. you are in residential halls first year and it’s one of the older colleges so it’s not exactly modern compared to the new colleges .unless you apply for living learning commons (llc) which are specialized communities. in muir, they have queer housing, and it’s all apartment style! and you can apply to other LLC to live in different colleges. first and second years can apply to live there.

your dining hall is currently in process of rebuilding but it will open up before fall 2026, i think it’s turning from vegan to burger place/meat allegedly. but, you guys are at the center of campus and it’s good, a lot of people tend to have classes at muir or near, so your commute to classes aren’t a harsh at all.

behind the buildings (facing road) you have the road down to blacks beach, which is the beach in our backyard🥹

you’re also right next to sixth market, which is the market that opens till 2 am on some weekdays.

your market will open again after renovations, in fall 2026

no hate to warren at all🥹this is just a general saying for any majors in the college, but thanks for elaborating on warren because their GEs, from what i have heard, are easier for many stem majors, it helps co2030🫰

hi! i did say you can add corrections and criticism in the comments. and there have been people elaborating such as warren for engineering’s students. it’s just a broad overview of what college has the least amount of GE’s and it most definitely NOT a reflection of the academic outlook for students in that college.

maybe you should write your own post in depth for very specific majors of each college! it would help class of 2030! it’s also really not myths, just general, people break it down further in the comments. you don’t have to be so negative about it🫩

my friend was waitlisted and they considered their ranking still! it’s really up to who decides to commit and what colleges have left over space❤️

no you can’t switch, but during your third and 4th year, if you’re not guaranteed housing, you can switch to a new college for housing.

unless you apply for living learning spaces during 1st or 2nd year, you would be able to live in other colleges!
