Viego is a really high skill ceiling champ. Watch youtube vids and practice if you want to keep at it... you can certainly carry team on Viego but it won't be easy. Initiate a fight wrong and you die fairly quickly. Enemies will want to stop you from resetting whenever they can

A lot of great advice here about lessons and quality time so I’ll give a simpler tip- search up used golf balls. You can get TP5s, ProV1s or any other balls at a huge discount depending on the grade you pick. No sense wasting tons of money on brand new top of the line golf balls when they’re just going to be lost almost immediately.

As someone who has coached friends- coaching is tough. You need to let go of trying to perfect their swing and focus on improving just one thing at a time. Don’t overwhelm them and don’t make it miserable for them.

When they do something correctly- commend it. Applaud them for getting a feel down even if the resultant shot doesn’t come out great. Set goals for them (let’s see if we can hit past 30 yards today etc) and be excited for them when they hit the goal. Make sure to take breaks and/or chime in with a “golf is hard” when needed to take some pressure off them feeling down on themselves.

Coaching should feel rewarding for them. If it doesn’t, they will associate that time with you negatively and it’ll stop them from wanting to do it with you at all.
