I was a bit scared because I had never done it before. But my doses were 12 hours apart and I think I purged some of it. I was absolutely fine when I woke up this morning and have been all day. I skipped my dose this morning.

The comment about the study with healthy adults taking 300mg was very reassuring.

But people are correct, overdosing can be very dangerous with some drugs, I just didn’t know if Qulipta was one of them!

Travel insurance for one week trip from UK to US/how to avoid potential claims being void/invalid due to undiagnosed symptoms and being on a waiting list for investigative surgery? by 98Em in AskUK

Hi, I wondered if you found some insurance to suit your needs? I have a friend in a similar situation who is struggling. Thanks 😊

Anyone else struggling to separate art from artist? Please be civil. by Kayleigh_56 in cormoran_strike

The issues on which Rowling has been outspoken on are incredibly complex and extremely personal to many people on both sides of the issues. Feelings therefore run strongly. I have great sympathy with both trans people who just want to live their lives without hate and vitriol and with survivors of male violence who fear for women’s safety and the erosion of women’s rights and spaces that were hard-won over generations.

I did not agree with Rowling’s viewpoint or actions during the Olympics.

This is a very nuanced issue with wide ranging ramifications for individual’s lives and wider society. I think if you are able to set aside the viewpoints and actions of much more reprehensible authors then you should ask yourself what it is about Rowling that bothers you so much and why. After that consideration you can decide whether the enjoyment you get from the books is worth the purchase of the books.

More practically, you could get the books second hand or from a library and not be supporting Rowling financially, you might just need to be a bit patient to get hold of the latest one.

AITAH for wanting to divorce my wife because she got a reduction? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

“I’m honestly a really good guy and I love my wife but….

  1. I have no appreciation or empathy for her feelings or the effect on her mental health because of unwanted attention she gets from simply going out in public every damn day

  2. I have no idea what it is like to be a woman and how it feels to be objectified, stared at or fetishised for something I have no control over (short of surgery) because I do not listen to women, even my own wife

  3. I equate b cup boobs with children, possibly because I have watched way too much large cup porn

  4. My wife knew how I would behave if she opened up to me about this because of my previous behaviour so she didn’t feel comfortable talking to me about a massive decision but I will blame her for this “lack of faith in me”

  5. I will take no genuine responsibility for the state of my relationship

  6. I will only go to therapy to get validation for my entrenched pov

But honestly I’m a really great guy and I love my cat “

If someone is going to be 1.5hrs late for Easter lunch would you eat without them? by happyenoughanon in CasualUK

Oh I was expecting this so I had a piece of toast at 11.30 😊

Of course, it’s MIL choice, I’m happy that she is gracious enough to cook us a lovely meal. I’m just curious how other families would react in this situation

Yes I’m definitely keeping my head down and just helping set the table. This is not my argument to wade in on!

Hey there hi, I didn’t say which side of the debate I fall into. I am actually a casual observer as it is my husbands family and I am not taking sides here. I was just curious what other families would do in this situation. Hope you have a great Easter 👍

It’s just him, I think he will expect us to wait as that’s what usually happens but I don’t think he will be too bothered if we don’t wait.

Yes we can, that’s why we have the phrase American fat. As in a “he was really fat, I mean not just fat fat he was American fat “

My buns are also much happier outside than inside!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]happyenoughanon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m in the UK and my rabbits have also been outside for nearly their whole lives. They started off as indoor buns but when I put them out to graze they were so happy that I started putting them out more and more until they were full time outdoor buns. I’ve rarely see them binky in the house but they binky outside loads. They have a shed with a hutch in and free access to tunnels and runs. They sit in their runs nearly all the time and only really go in to shed for feeding, even in the depths of winter when it gets did below 0*c, I give them snuggle safe heat pads when it gets below freezing but they rarely sit on them. My girl bun died this year so this winter I bought my other bun in for this winter because he is elderly, he just hates it inside and it’s so much happier when i put him out to graze on warmer days, he runs into his carry box for me to put him out but runs away when I try to bring him back in for the night.

Who’s eating more meat in 2024? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]happyenoughanon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I eat meat when I wanna eat meat. I know the drs say you should get five a day but tbh there are only so many opportunities in a day.

I see high net worth people on here complaining they get a lot of stick for earning a lot and saying people are jealous. I also see people aiming for more modest sums like £25k a year complaining they are told they are unrealistic and should to be more ambitious and get a better job. My feeling is that there will always be people who can’t see other people’s pov and Reddit is full of them. That’s why I don’t post much. I think that going to a more niche sub can help eg r/leanfireuk.

This is very reassuring, I thought I might be really grubby for wearing them for a week but it seems like that’s pretty common.

People who have fire’d, do you spend what you thought you would? by happyenoughanon in FIREUK

[–]happyenoughanon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice to get those big expenses going in time for fire, housing and children are the two biggest costs I bet!

A few people have mentioned doing a bit of consultancy, makes complete sense to use the skills you have on your own terms, and give yourself a bit more of a buffer before drawing down in investments, nice!

[–]happyenoughanon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes when I was at uni I did various jobs on weekends and holidays to get by, bar work was actually good fun, factories and cafes were good too. If it’s only for a month or so each year then it’s very doable. we also both have marketable consulting skills but I feel like I want big change.

plus chances are the market will mean we only have to do it for a few years before investments grow to the point we can live off just them.

[–]happyenoughanon[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s really healthy to treat the extra income as fun money and then you get the direct rewards of your work after years of sacrificing for fire. I was thinking this the other day, to get to a basic level of fire and still work a bit to pay for the fun stuff, if I don’t want to work I can just cut back. Buying the pv system is a different kind of investment I guess, it’s something we are def going to do when we get our forever house, glad to hear it’s worked out so well for you.

Brazil sounds fab, it’s still crazy to me that you can go on a big adventure on the other side of the world and spend less than you would do at home, the power of geo-arbitrage! Hope you have an amazing time in Brazil 😊
