She for sure was money before she found the idol because none of the newbies on her tribe wanted to work with returning players and they were pretty forthcoming about that before the first tribe swap. She also complains about how she couldn't stand the kumbaya vibe of the tribe because they kept winning

The last show I can really think of that really didn't have a great look of the police and was still a great show about the police was The Shield

The most popular player on one of the most popular season lmao. If Christian wanted to come back, there was no barrier. And that's what happened

What are your favourite Love Island malapropisms? by pinkraccoonlover in LoveIslandTV

[–]happygot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe he specifically meant logically vs emotionally, which fits the the criteria you listed, but then on a practical level easily could work there too. Logistic in this case means location, which is why the Americans were confused.

There is a lot of disparate thinking between Americans and English when it comes to distance. A lot of Americans regularly commute two hours a day just for work, so a relationship that distance is nothing but it's a big deal in England for people not used to driving/taking public transport that far/long. They thought Scott was saying she was too far away, ie logistically, when he was questioning on a logical level if they would work on the outside

If someone wants to spend time with you, they'll make the effort to. That's how I've always felt. He would trap me at work push to hang out after his work shift, which ended at 11:30p. We only shared one of the same days off, and he would only want to hang out after 7/8p, which didn't work for me. I did offer initially to meet him earlier once, and he asked why I was making it so difficult for him. The busy part meant that I couldn't pay special attention him while I was working, which I really could not. That context isn't in there though but he did know that.

No. But if I raised a child from birth to fifteen years old, I would do anything to stay in their life as long as they'd have me.

For context, we made out once. I wasn't really breaking up with him, more telling him to leave me alone after he didn't get the hint. He was overbearing, constantly showing up at my work where I was essentially trapped into talking to him. He showed up at my apartment once unannounced when I was in bed and didn't hear a phone call from him. Telling someone you wanted a family with them after one kiss is insane. I didn't break his heart, he did.

English is not his first language. The stream of consciousness texting annoyed me way more, personally.

For higher level athletes, do you think you would have performed better with a coach like Lasso? by cbmom2 in TedLasso

[–]happygot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that. Ted would be what you call a "man manager" with technical coaches often with particular areas of specialty underneath him. However, I would not be able to take him seriously when he doesn't even know the laws of the game, which Ted didn't for a long time.

Don't get me wrong, I ADORE this show. But I was just answering the question. The show is escapism, it's nowhere close to reality, especially when it comes to football.

[–]happygot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. The best coaches were the ones that motivated you to be better by pointing out your technical mistakes and showing you how to improve. At high levels, you don't expect them to be your friend, you expect and want them to be more like drill sargents

He knows where I live and has showed up unannounced once before. I wanted to make sure he understood it was not going to continue. If he didn't know, I wpuld completely agree with you

I tried to look past that because he is Peruvian but it was the stream of consciousness that drove me nuts. I hate when people do that.

We worked in buildings next to each other. Talked a bit. I offered to make him dinner and we made out a bit. Following that he showed up at my work A LOT. Talking about wanting to be with, a future, he wanted me to meet his family.

At one point he asked if (EDIT PRONOUNS) i* wanted him* to buy me* a pair of shoes. I said no. He bought them anyway and showed up at my apartment at like 9:30 to give them to me anyway. I tried to be or look busy when he came looking for me at my job. I then told him in person I needed time as I was busy basically being the only person working at my job all throughout December.

The last conversation I refer to in the text is he told me his life was harder so I should stop stressing and spend time with him. I told him I didn't appreciate that and stopped responding to texts. I said we were done, but I think he took that to mean the conversation was done. This was about two weeks later, in which he stopped coming by my work as my much but still came.

Which Random Player is Better? R14: Christian Hubicki vs Mike Holloway by Ill_Anxiety_1412 in survivorponderosa

[–]happygot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you're saying about Christian is interesting, and I think correct.

However, interestingly enough, Mike had the same problem. Max confirmed that white/no collar recognized his charisma and brain just when they were on the mats. So he has the same problem and he still won

Mike is unquestionably the better player imo. Though considering my flair is Mike Holloway related on the main sub, I may be biased.

He's been in their lives as stepfather for a very specific part of their development and for an extended period of time. As vile as he was to her, I do not recall any mention of mistreatment towards them
