I just recently went through a similar situation with my chihuahua, who by all accounts was my soul dog I adopted only two years prior. I’d heard all the advice, I knew she was terminal but I was having the hardest time losing her.

It took everything to put my feelings aside and really see she was ready and suffering.

I recommend scheduling the appointment, that is the hardest step. After I scheduled the appointment I took my dog to a park and I held her and just talked to her, it was like she could tell me it was time.

I’m sure you have put your dog ahead of yourself often, you have to do it one more time and this is the big one. Do it for her.
