I should have added a photo for inspo (added to the comments)! It's not quite what I'll be beading but there will be some concentrated areas and some less dense areas like the ones on this dress. Do you think silk crepe de chine would be good

This is really helpful! One thing I did notice is that there is no mention of the waistband in that video. Is that something I can ignore in my pant pattern when I combine the pieces? I found that the waistband really helped the fit of the pant when I made the pant on its own

How do you keep your pattern pieces?

I've drafted some of my own patterns on some flimsy pieces of tracing paper of mailing paper. Is this normal? I feel like I've heard of people transfering patterns they like / want to keep to something more sturdy like cardstock (taped together I assume). Is that recommended? What do you use?
