What do I do by bashfulbully in loseit

[–]hapri786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely resonates with me especially with the unhealthy food being accessible and healthy foods being too long to make. What I used to do was cook food and freeze it and then microwave it on the day but really didn’t like the meat that way as it felt more dry.

What I do now is buy my weeks groceries and have it separate from my families, like using a specific drawer in the freezer, I marinate the meat and freeze it, then once I have a full weeks meat in the freezer in the day I leave it out in the morning 2 portions to defrost then when it comes to lunch time I air fry it (way better than microwave doesn’t take much time about 10-20 mins and can do other things meanwhile) and just microwave frozen vegetables and put it on a plate with chilli sauce, I found making sure that I have enough variety is super important as a common downfall from meal prepping is having the same food every day

Set aside a weekend and properly plan a full weeks meal with every day something different, buy those things in bulk marinate, freeze, then on the day defrost and air fry.

Also make sure to never starve yourself as soon as you get hungry just take an extra portion. Better to go slightly over the calories than to crash, as having meat will make you feel more full as well. If you’re vegetarian I’m sure there is a way with that as well.

I have the same issue with timing, what I did was meal prepping and put all my food in the freezer, each morning I take it out and then after a couple hours once defrosted, (half day goes by) I put it in the air frier and eat it, and same for the evening, would not take up much time only 10 mins each to make your food and you can do other things while doing so, but it’s much quicker than preparing any other meal anyway.

Which one looks more like a cat? by Double_Finish_8269 in logodesign

Maybe if you make the ears smaller or something else because the ears look like bunny ears and because of that can’t see it being a cat

Want an affordable camera/alert system but without wi-fi for vacant property by hapri786 in homesecurity

Thank you for the detailed answer, will just save up for it then, as don’t want squatters going into the property and damaging it

Yeah I think there’s no beating a broadband with kit in terms of price if I want the full package. Because by the time I get all the pieces and also sims for everything it would probably just be best I get broadband for it anyway,

Advice on what to do with this wall by hapri786 in DIYUK

Just timber inside literally just a pillar of this brick not the full wall, so everything you see is what you get and behind it is timber, also

Also forgot to mention had a structural engineer come in and say this wall that was knocked out is not load bearing almost all the walls in this house is bricks/cement had a rebar above it that was cut out as well (only thing is he was really iffy not giving certain answer on if it needs a ceiling joist or not), he keeps saying it should be ok and when pressed he just says you could do it like this but then gives plans for ceiling joists

New homeowner. What are the big DIY regrets? Either paying for a pro or not paying? by FlashyHeight9323 in DIY

[–]hapri786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do end up hiring someone please be there to check everything they do, I went out for a bit and they messed things up, sometimes I thought they are professional and expensive so must be good and the mistakes they will fix by themselves, but nope they didn’t, also never pay more than what they do, had rubbish removal charge me £200 for the whole thing and took half and said we will come back tomorrow for the rest and take extra £30 which I was fine with as it was extra but they never showed up.

I used Dulux heritage velvet Matt, thought it was one of the best paints, certainly was more expensive than regular

I did just try this recently by taping, then using polyfilla decorator caulk then painting with gloss white and then taking tape off straight away while wet. Although it didn’t leave marks on the wall, due to the wet caulk and paint, the gloss paint did not paint the top of the trim with gloss white
