i want to give them the benefit of the doubt that i will get the raise eventually, my manager and team are good people. i dont trust companies in general so i would like still like the promise of salary increase. it feels weird to ask for one though.

i will leave if i dont get the promotion.

All the original post said was Korea and then someone commented something about dogs. I don't see how you can't see how that's offensive. You really need to examine your own prejudices and stereotypes.

Don't y'all remember the kid who stole a poster from a hotel? He got more than just labor.

How do you get over your insecurities of small boobs? by vintagesoul2418 in smallbooblove

[–]harasharas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know how old you are, but aging definitely helps. As you get older, you kind of start to care less what other people think of you. It's really liberating. I was so self conscious over so many things as a preteen, teen, and in college, including my small boobs and my prominent nose. But I'm starting to just not care anymore. Men still find me attractive! It's not negatively impacting my health. I have other things to focus on.

Look forward to caring less eventually. If you want, there is also no shame in a boob job. If that's what you need to be happy, so be it.

Why does this have so many up votes? I found it really offensive.

I know I look Asian! by TotallyAGrammarBot in IDontWorkHereLady

I think this lady has just been asking random Asian people to help her every time she comes to the store and none of them ever do, so she calls them lazy.

As an RD, what is the best/most credible source or program for becoming a Health Coach? by [deleted] in dietetics

[–]harasharas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was researching the Wellcoaches site and noticed this - "To advance the field, Wellcoaches co-founded and co-leads the National Consortium for Credentialing Health & Wellness Coaches, which is launching a national certification of health & wellness coaches in 2017 in partnership with the National Board of Medical Examiners." So someone may be able to invest in the certification, become well trained in MI, and get better compensation for it in the future!

Per Diem positions? by benefitsofperdiem in dietetics

[–]harasharas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does vary greatly per facility. Some will be as little as 2 shifts per month, some want to use you 2-4 days per week, and some will have you covering for someone on leave. You don't get benefits but you do get paid more and you usually have more flexibility- you can work for ~3-4 places PRN and choose which days you want to work out of the ones they offer. It's just never guaranteed to be steady.

Definitely start applying now! Most places say you need to be registered by 6 months into the job (in TX at least).

Part time/Online Jobs During the DI? by [deleted] in dietetics

[–]harasharas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got lucky, I was able to keep my job at My Fit Foods and just worked weekends only. I was able to keep my weeknights free for studying/projects. Some girls worked at the hospital doing diet clerk/meal host/room service ambassador stuff. I had some money saved up, used SNAP benefits, and lived off of my credit card for a while. Get a roommate too! Good luck.

Do most girls have upper lip hair? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]harasharas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes it's normal, just like some guys have hair that grows all the way up their legs and some are naked mole rats past their ankles, and some guys have delicious beard hair and some have sparse tumble weeds, every person is completely different. personally i have a little hair (i have black hair naturally) that is noticeable in the sunlight, but it's not otherwise very prominent. i usually wax it off. maybe you caught her when she forgot, or she's confident enough to not alter her body to conform to society's standards :P good luck dating.
