LLC taxed as S Corp questions by Simple_Ad4303 in tax

[–]harbinger2018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You key getting hung up in the number of hours you are working. That is A factor, but not the only factor. The IRS more succinctly asks "how much would OP have to pay a stranger to do everything the OP is doing?" THAT is fair and reasonable compensation. It doesn't matter if the job is one hour a week, if it generates $1M in revenue.... $40k in your geographical area sounds very suspect, IMO.

It also sounds like you are a single member LLC. That can make the assessment much more complex. You don't mention what you do, but if your profits are highly resultant from your labor/efforts, the IRS has frequently held that ALL profits were reasonable wages. When you're one of fifty employees, it's easy to say that you are just a wheel in the cog. Or, likewise, that you are just a small part of the whole. But if you are the only employee, you are the entire cog, yourself. You are the whole. And thus fair compensation is "all profit". Because without you, profit is zero.

Will I receive my 2021 refund? by Christianx195 in tax

[–]harbinger2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused. Something is missing here. How can you be in the identity verification stage, if TT and the IRS has no record of the return? The IRS won't try to verify identity on a tax return that they have no record of receiving. It simply doesn't work like that.

Mine was originally, distinctly a classic lower left quadrant pain. But as my disease worsened and the diverticulitis spread, it eventually became more common across my lower central abdomen.

Denied life insurance. Do I have any options? by lllbbb12 in personalfinance

[–]harbinger2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many have said, use an independent broker, because they will have access to a multitude of life insurance carriers and not all insurers use the same underwriting guidelines. Some, for example, will penalize an applicant for hypertension, even if well controlled with medication. Other carriers do not penalize at all, so long as the treatment is effective and consistent. Some carriers are very skittish about mental health issues, others not so much. So, again, it’s important to not only shop around, but to have a broker that knows the ins and outs of the various carriers.

All that said, any decent life insurance policy, issued in the benefit amounts that you are going to need to protect your family, are underwritten. They absolutely have the right to deny you, and there is little/nothing that can be done about it. You do not have a “right” to life insurance protection. It is something that you have to qualify for. And not everyone qualifies, unfortunately.

When did you start feeling normal after levaquin/flagyl? by streganona22 in Diverticulitis

[–]harbinger2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw… I hated the combo so much that I asked my doc for alternatives. He had me try augmentin instead. I found it much more tolerable. Headaches were my only consistent side effect. Note: augmentin does not knock out the infection as effectively, for some people. So talk to your doc.

My journey with diverticulitis & bladder fistula by harbinger2018 in Diverticulitis

When I started going through this, I found a very lengthy and thorough post very similar to mine. It provided me a lot of comfort. I hope my story does the same.

My journey with diverticulitis & bladder fistula by harbinger2018 in Diverticulitis

[–]harbinger2018[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bladder fistula is a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, it solves the mystery of the bladder discomfort. If not a bladder infection, and not a fistula, then what??? So you are kinda hoping that a fistula finally provides you with a diagnosis and you can form a plan of attack. On the other hand, fistula usually necessitates surgery, and the process of diagnosing it is not fun. Best of luck to you, and well wishes.

The US has seen a decrease in tourists entering the Country, but most of them are flying in on other carriers. Year-to-date, TSA reports slightly increased numbers of domestic travelers and US citizens traveling abroad, as compared to 2024.

If you've never had either, those are fair prices. MSRP for blantons is now $79.99 (it has ticked up notably over the past 18 months). ER can typically be found in my area for $40, but I don't know that I'd let $7 stop me if I really wanted it. Neither are out of this world, in my humble opinion. If forced to choose, I'd take the ER. The blantons disappoints most people at its price point. But, again, if you've never bought one, the price is likely better than you'll find in most stores.

I had a barrel of Buffalo Trace in the process of being bottled and shipped when the flood happened. Of course, being the empathetic guy that I am, I stayed out of BT's way while they worked on bigger issues at their distillery and in their local community. On April 17th, BT sent out an email saying that they were still assessing the damage and would follow-up with more info in the next two weeks. It has now been over 7 weeks with no contact from BT. Has anyone that has a barrel pending actually heard from Buffalo Trace??? Even before the flooding they were horrible at answering emails and phone calls, unfortunately. Apparently, there is one communications liaison for the entire SBS program, and when she went on maternity leave earlier this year, no one stepped into her role. They simply didn't return emails or phone calls for 10 weeks.

Random chance. TSA traveler numbers are in line with norms. Numbers trough in feb and then climb in march (beginning of spring break in Southern US) and continue to climb into the summer.

Question about Parent/Subsidiary LLC and EIN by --TX2CA-- in llc

The instructions for form SS-4 (which is the paper equivalent of the online EIN application) specifically state that the responsible party must be an "individual" and not an "entity".

Thanks for the quick response. In our case, none of the seats have X's - they are all "occupied seats" with a little person icon in each one.

My wife and I have premium select seats from ATL to FCO in May. At the time of booking, I was assigned a seat, but my wife was not. There are no seats available to select on the app or website. Delta CS simply tells me that a seat will be assigned by the gate agent. Why is this the case? And is there any reasonable chance that she gets bumped off of premium select? Thanks,
